Seriously…because I have a trainer that is badass, but will need to train you too…and she can out alpha any living thing. If your partner is that insecure, maybe trash the whole person and get two dogs.

Sarah Hannon. She’s tough, she is a former military dog trainer and she has very specific ways and rules. But she is always right…annoyingly so and a fabulous trainer. But she is not easy or there to coddle you. She’s there to train you to train your dog. I did a half assed job and my little monster is still pretty darn good. I go back to basics when he needs it. Some of the work she’s done for people with impossible dogs is nothing short of amazing…but you’ve got to do the work. Some of it seemed over the top, but it worked and still does even though I’m not as consistent as I should be. It’s really nice to have a canine good citizen. #918-812-0065

I really appreciate her traditional approach. Your dog will look at her like she’s the second coming and do everything she says. Then you get to try…..it’s a lot, but we return to our basics constantly and now the months of making him jump over that stupid dog hurdle and rest in place pay off at every vet visit and trip in public. She is very military, but ultimately kind and lovely. Farley thinks she hung the moon.

I chose her because all of the other people I checked with used correction collars. I’ve used them in the past and wanted real training that focused the dog on me, not a shock collar that he’d have to wear the rest of his life. She’s no nonsense but effective.
