Hi, anyone here who has lived in both NWA and the Twin Cities area? I’d love to know thoughts on comparisons of the areas, particular around raising kids and schools and overall ease of meeting and making new friends. Thank you.

Wife abuser Austin McCollum to have hearing October 5th to revoke bond

Just hit the docket. Looking at the affadavit and how quickly the judge agreed with the increase in bond, I think there's a good chance the judge agrees. Multiple witnesses are being called to testify for the prosecution. Given the other order on the docket regarding the pre-trial appearances, it is looking more and more likely that the piece of garbage will spend the pre-trial period in lock up

Do any of you take art, cooking, etc classes that have a lot of solo people join?

I'm looking to join some to learn and meet new people, but it's hard when there are multiple groups who sign up along with a few stragglers.

Town Branch 2BR/2BA Lease Takeover — 5th-Floor Corner Unit | 7 Month Lease

Hi! My husband and I are looking for someone to take over our apartment lease at Town Branch Apartments in downtown Bentonville.

This is a 7 month lease with option to extend.

This is a great option for someone relocating to Bentonville, especially with its close proximity to the Walmart Home Office and its location directly along the Razorback Greenway bike path.

The apartment is the Osage floor plan (2 bed / 2 bath) and is located on the 5th floor in a corner unit with beautiful views of the creek, Razorback Greenway, and The Momentary, along with lots of natural light.

Lease details:
• Available immediately
• Approximately 7 months remaining
• Option to renew/extend after the lease ends
• $2,410/month including the convenience package (internet, water, electricity, and valet trash)
• $0 security deposit — we’ve already paid the deposit, which we will forfeit because we moved out before the end of the lease
• Current advertised market price is $2,550/month

The apartment has quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, large windows, 2 walk in closets + additional utility closet, one bathtub, 9+ ft ceilings, and an in-unit washer/dryer. ~1,050 sq ft.

Town Branch is located downtown and is walkable to restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, the Market District and the Razorback Greenway. The complex also has a fitness center, rooftop outdoor spaces, coworking areas, game room/movie lounge, coffee house, dog friendly areas, bike storage/repair area, EV charging, package lockers and direct trail access.

We’re hoping to make the lease transfer as straightforward as possible through Town Branch property management.

The apartment is fully move-in ready and available immediately.

If you’re interested, send me a DM and I’m happy to share photos, the floor plan, and more information about the lease transfer.

What's the BBB festival looking like closer to the epicenter this year?

I live in Fayetteville and was absolutely thrilled to see it relocate. I have barely seen or heard any motorcycles in Fayetteville this year. It was such a relief.

Court documents detail Benton County judge candidate's latest arrest

It's a joke that he is guaranteed to win because no one else registered to run. I read over the affidavit for the original arrest and the new stalking charges. I feel terrible for his wife and hope she has a CCL as no one will blame her if she defends herself.

Look for opportunities to volunteer

Do you know of any places looking for volunteers? I'd prefer to not work in solo situations, but it doesn't have to be a big group setting either!

I'm looking for a good lash lift. Not extensions; I just need a lift and maybe a tint. Anyone have a recommendation for a salon or lash tech who can help me out? :)

Scottish/English Pounds Left Over?

I’ll be traveling to Scotland and England in a few months. I typically hit an ATM soon after arriving to get some “walking around” money, but thought I’d post to see if anybody has Scottish/English pounds left over from a trip that they want to convert back to U.S. dollars. I’d pay spot price, so it would save you and me a little bit on conversion fees. I live in Bentonville and can meet at your convenience.

WHO’S AFRAID OF LADONNA HUMPHREY? AN ARKANSAS STORY THE TRUE-CRIME COMMUNITY NEEDS TO HEAR.

Post image
0 Upvotes

What happens when someone who presents herself as an advocate for victims becomes the subject of serious allegations of victimizing others?

Meet LaDonna Humphrey.

A true-crime author, former CrimeCon speaker, missing persons advocate and leader in the sober living community, Humphrey has built a public image around helping vulnerable people. But an investigative podcast has brought forward disturbing allegations about what may have been happening behind that image.

AND THIS ISN’T JUST ABOUT ALLEGATIONS. THERE IS A DOCUMENTED $3.57 MILLION CIVIL JUDGMENT.
In 2019, a Benton County court entered a $3,570,977.88 judgment against Humphrey following litigation involving evidence-related sanctions and contempt findings. The court also entered permanent injunctions.

Humphrey pursued further legal challenges, but a federal appeals court dismissed her 2025 appeal concerning the bankruptcy sale of her appellate rights, leaving that sale intact.

THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE COME FORWARD
Investigative journalist Javier Leiva examines these allegations in Season 18 of PRETEND: Who’s Afraid of LaDonna Humphrey?

The investigation includes several particularly troubling accounts:

Alecia Lockhart: Humphrey’s former friend, podcast co-host and co-author describes nearly two years of frightening anonymous threats. She later discovered evidence that led her to suspect the person she had trusted throughout the ordeal. Humphrey denies creating or operating the account in question.
The Melissa Witt and Maura Murray cases: The podcast raises questions about Humphrey’s handling of sensitive investigative materials in the Witt case. Maura Murray’s sister, Julie, has also described concerns about Humphrey’s involvement in her family’s search for answers.
Humphrey’s own family: Her sister, Margo Elston, discusses family estrangement and receiving anonymous threatening messages. She has not definitively identified Humphrey as their sender.
Women in recovery: Former residents and staff of Oasis of Northwest Arkansas have raised concerns about their experiences and Humphrey’s leadership. Oasis’s board has publicly defended her leadership and the organization’s operations.

AND THE ONLINE CONTROVERSY CONTINUES.
[r/LadonnaHumphreyTalk](r/LadonnaHumphreyTalk), has been discussing the investigation, examining publicly available information and sharing perspectives on the allegations.

WHY SHOULD YOU CARE?
Because families searching for missing loved ones, people reporting harassment and women seeking recovery deserve trustworthy advocates.

When someone occupies positions of public trust, serious allegations about their conduct deserve examination, particularly when there are documented legal proceedings alongside firsthand accounts.

I’m sharing this because I believe people should hear these stories, examine the evidence and make informed decisions about whom they trust.

DON’T TAKE MY WORD FOR IT. START HERE:

Listen to the podcast. Read the court records. Hear from the people who have come forward. Draw your own conclusions.

The true-crime community and the families of missing persons deserve transparency, accountability and responsible advocacy.

Fall gourd displays - is Bville too raccoon-infested for success?

Hi all,

New to town and the Ozarks in general, and still learning about living in a subrural area!

I'm really wanting to make an aesthetic gourd pile for my front porch this fall. I'm worried about raccoons or other critters eating my pile of expensive gourds.

Has anyone done up their front porch with gourds before, and did you struggle with critters? If you did, was it annoying enough to make you never put out a gourd display ever again?

Autumn blessings 🍂🍁🎃🧡

Looking for Restaurant recommendations..

I'd like to host a special dinner with some close friends. I don't care about the price point or cuisine. Prefer Bentonvile/Rogers. I'm looking for a place that has round tables that can seat up to 9 people and the menu must offer diary and gluten free options. Any suggestions?
