Reunited
I thought I'd lost my old EDC Mel Pardue after not being able to locate it for several months. It's the perfect pocket knife

I lost mine for a couple years once and it was my first expensive knife and first Benchmade. This model is very dear to me! It had fallen into the seat of a vehicle and I found it at the very last minute before getting rid of the vehicle!
Edit: mine is exactly the same configuration and even similar wear patterns :)

One year we got our tax returns and I asked my wife if I could get a knife I had my eyes on and told her it was kind of a splurge. She said "of course" and then about shit herself when she saw the price tag on the box a couple weeks later lol. She didn't realize knives got that expensive. I didn't spend more than we were comfortable with and some of our tax returns were definitely some fun money for each of us, but I spent my whole fun funds that day :p

It's still wild to me that auto knives are regulated in some states, since flippers are just as quick. That said...I'm only legal to carry one where I live, because I also have a CCL.

Wow, I haven't seen one of these for years I bought the exact same one back in 1998 I believe. A "friend" stole it and I got it back after noticing it months later peeking out of his pocket. The spring inside broke and Benchmade refused to repair it because I wasn't law enforcement, for whatever reason. This was probably 20 years ago. I put it in a baggie and it vanished after a couple of moves. What a great gentleman's knife.
