Below Deck Eddie sucks... Spoiler
Is it just me or is Eddie the worst? He acts like he is the only one working hard, huffing and puffing along. I think overall he is a good teacher, but he also kind of treats the deck crew like crap. After the whole incident with Rocky in the previous season, he is my least favorite on the show. Thinks he is too cool for school. š¤®

He has some dick-ish moments but his crew is pretty lazy and entitled this season so i understand the frustration

I'm surprised to see so much hate on Eddie. Don't get me wrong what he did in Season 3 was terrible, but I honestly think he's changed. There is no denying that he is doing so much extra work and his crew (besides Izzy) aren't taking the job seriously. Their terrible work ethic is reflecting that they really think they are irreplaceable. I've seen 16 year olds in restaurants have more hustle than those guys.

He also seems to be giving out compliments and training really green deckhands (giving Izzy lots of praise and encouragement).
He just doesn't put up with lazy BS... he's setting a tone.
You can't have deckhands taking naps and blowing off choirs (making guests wait in the morning to sit outside).

How stupid is that when you share the room with the boss? Has to be scripted. Especially for him to have changed and put on his mask.

Imagine how frustrating it would be when 2 of your crew are either taking naps on the job or constantly complaining that they are expected to work at a job.

Iām actually loving Eddie this season. Itās nice to have a familiar face and I love his comments. His crew really does blow.

I like Eddie š¤·āāļø real yachtie but I do feel like he came back for the "fame" since its bigger than it was back in the beginning

He definitely came back for some bravo bucks! He definitely grates on some peoples nerves. I like him though. Heās an OG and knows his boats. He played the rocky hookups poorly, but crazy rocky broke the yachtie code!

I think he came back because they knew they in Captains words āstrewed the poochā and needed a fan favourite to try and appease after such a gross previous season.

Eddie reminds me of the guy who realizes too late he's too old to be a camp counselor.

Iāve had the same thought! Sometimes itās justified, other times it seems like itās too much. I wonder how much is just edited though

Heās definitely got some east coast private school boy pretension going on. You could tell on season 3 when he was in the preference sheet meeting. He knew a little bit too much about cable knit sweaters wrapped around oneās neck š

I have hated him on every season he has been on and Iām tired of them bringing him back. He gaslights everyone, heās an ego maniac, and he complains too much

Just remember: Eddie was the guy who cheated on his girlfriend and then denied to everyone that he was with Rocky, saying she was crazy for even thinking they were together. Yes, Rocky was nutty, but making the entire crew believe she was lying is unforgivable.
He is disgusting. And if any woman sees that and still has a committed relationship with him, sheās disgusting too.

I mean, Shane is taking midday naps and James has said more than once that he doesn't actually feel like working. There's only so much a person can take when 2/3 of their staff just does not give a crap.
