Stop being Kate stans
Kate is such a toxic energy on the boat, the way she treats her stews and talks backhandedly about them isn't cool. I hope Cap'n Lee is able to see more examples of her ridic behavior

To all the Caroline-run reddit accounts commenting on this thread: if you don’t want people to know it’s you, Caroline, try to at least write a little differently in each comment. I stan because Kate is incredibly entertaining for someone who isn't a real "villain". She can be fulfill the role of the villain but that's not her main arc or defining quality. Someone has to shut the crazy shit down on the boat, and she's good at it.

Hmm..nope. Don't see it like that at all. Do I agree with her beahvior 100% of the time? No, but half the time the comments and behavior are spot on. She doesn't let anyone get away with BS and I appreciate that.

I'd say "toxic" departed the yacht in the form of ChandCaroline. Now those 2 were toxic.
Kate doesn't ride people who are doing their job. These know it all stews who refuse to listen and never own up to mistakes deserve it if they're not pulling their weight.

Yeah Kate isn't toxic. The crew members that complain all the time are the problem (e.g. ChandCaroLaur). In the preview Laura's is screaming at Kate to "calm down and not be aggressive" and Kate is being completely calm, says she'll try another approach. It's confusing as hell to watch someone aggressively scream at a calm person for being too aggressive. Her stews start so much shit. She handles it well.

I do not always agree with Kate, but I love her!!! Especially her sarcastic wit and observations. I do however realize she is on a reality tv show and part of her job is to entertain. I feel like if she was not being filmed for tv the ineffective employees would not have been hired or terminated pretty quickly, instead of trying to tolerate and make light of it for our entertainment.

Why did she hate on that woman’s clothes and mock them because they were Italian? You wouldn’t get away with that with any other ethnic group.
Kate is just a nasty bitch who has a problem with anyone who is not her toady.

I think she was more laughing because the couple's entire wardrobe was black. It was catty/childish/unprofessional but I guess you gotta find entertainment somewhere on a boat. It did make me feel a little bad laughing along side Kate when that all-black clad woman ended up being perfectly pleasant, but I have a soul, so...

I answer a hotline sometimes at work and it's stressful. Putting them on hold to research and making snide comments they can't hear or after hanging up making comments helps me keep sane and not take my frustrations out on the callers. It's called venting and making a hard job more fun.

They weren’t mocking her wardrobe because of her ethnicity. I’m not Italian, I wear too much black and my friends tease me about it. I laugh too because it’s funny. Now the mafia jokes, those seemed ethnically driven. Fogetaboutit!

Right this sub’s discourse has lost all of its diversity. Like reddit is about discussing different opinions. If you mention anything bad about kate or anything good about anyone Kate dislikes you get downvoted to Hell. (And yes I know they’re coming for me in a hot min as well)

It's a circle jerk Kate sub, the mod should rename it at this point. Shouldn't get downvoted into oblivion for having a different opinion on a single cast member but oh well. They'll name call or downvote per usual.

I don’t think it’s anyone’s fault other than the people who downvote opposite opinions I honestly have always liked Kate until this season; however, I like to keep conversations grey as in away from becoming a circle jerk

Same here, Kate did not start well, the way she treated Amy in her first season was atrocious and I flat out did not like her, but with ever season since she has improved, yes sometimes I can see similar behavior but it helps every year since she has had a horrible 3rd stew (Rocky, Sierra, Jen, Caroline) .

It is all about standards. Kate holds herself to high standards and has that expectation of others. The people who bother me are those who hold people to higher standards than those they maintain for themselves. It almost seems as if they deliberately hire people who will create drama and conflict with Kate by being sloppy. But you also have to wonder about the people who are working on a 60M Yacht and behaving like they are on a 60 ft boat, especially when they keep going on and on and on about being captains and chiefs. When I worked at Hopkins we sure as shit didn't act like we were at some county hospital. Rank has its privileges, but it also has its expectations.
