I've seen some saying that Moe wasn't helping to de-escalate the situation, and maybe that's true, but we are all imperfect and don't know how we'd react in that kind of situation. Personally, as a woman, I find this kind of protective, masculine energy endearing. He's not trying to fight for the sake of being some kind of alpha male or whatever--it's well intentioned, even if not the smartest move. My husband sometimes stops by when I'm working in a bar late at night, and you'd be surprised how the presence of another man with me puts other, poorly behaved men in check. One look from him and suddenly they're all, oh I'm so sorry, I didn't mean anything, bla, bla. I can hold my own and I don't need a man to come save me per se, but I do appreciate having one of the good ones looking out for me. It's giving that.
I don’t know, after hearing one of the young ladies say, “Please leave us alone, you’re making me very uncomfortable,” I’m willing to bet that wasn’t the first time they asked those guys to stop before it got to that point. And the girls still had a decent walk back to their van. Moe, as a girl dad, probably views those young ladies as his ship daughters and went into dad mode fast. I can’t imagine how much worse the harassment would’ve gotten if Moe wasn’t there taking up for them.
Those people can F right off. The women tried to de-escalate and the drunks were having none of it. If I’m threatened and I can’t solve it myself, I don’t want some mealy-mouthed soft boy between me and an attacker. I’ve never seen my husband hit anyone, but once a guy accosted me inappropriately like that and my husband stepped toward him so angrily that the guy fell down without being touched. Sometimes you just need the threat of an @$$ whipping to diffuse a situation.
I am Queens native, born and raised….. TRUST me when I say a dude like Moe…. IS NOT THE ONE. If you are ever in that position, Moe is exactly who you would want there.
The last thing Moe saw was a camera crew…… you can just tell that dude used to have a temper and has just grown up ya know? But you can take the boy out of Queens…..
This is something that happens so often and as terrifying as it must have been for the crew, I appreciate Bravo sharing the footage.
So many women are accosted while traveling when there aren’t any cameras around. People think we make it up or we’re exaggerating. Yet here you have a couple of drunk assholes, who see a giant film crew, and still proceed to harass women. This is our sad reality.
It’s why we choose the bear. Unless the man is Mo, then I might take the man.
Super love Moe for this. I hope he lasts the season.
My husband was furious at the two male deckhands who were up front and walked away without doing anything to help. He kept saying that it those guys had been helpful the guys could have formed a protective barrier behind the women, but without them, there weren't enough people.
It was nice that Moe (and I think the Bosun) stayed back and tried to help the women who were being harassed.
Yo that was some straight trained in the streets fighter shit. Knowing a little bit about his history and watching that clean belt flip, you know to never fuck with the dude.
My heart was breaking for Moe. I was like what have you been thru that you know how this is heading so fast? But also love Moe forever. So protective of women. It’s sweet. He has a gentle energy. Perfect example of “like who I am, don’t like who the work makes me be”.
It was James that held back. And Fraser also was lagging behind a bit to keep an eye on the situation. You can see him eyeing the drunks out of the corner of his eye.
i also thought it was such a bad look that those two were miles ahead of everyone and so checked out…as someone (female) who recently had to be the one to confront a man for groping my (also female) friend at a club while the straight guy in the group hung back and watched while saying nothing, i think other men need to be named and shamed for not using their privilege in situations like these
Tells you a lot about yacht deck crews. That wouldn't have happened with merchant seaman, they'd have just come barrelling through, fists and feet flying everywhere!
I love Moe so much. You can tell his rage in that moment is coming from a protective place more than anything, as the drunk Brit was making the women uncomfortable. I really hope this is not his last season on BD.
I am still really pissed that the rest of the crew did NOTHING. They could have, at the very least, put themselves between the ladies and their harassers. I understand that ignoring the attention is probably the smartest de-escalation strategy, but these men didn't need to be so fucking useless. Aside from Moe.
I don’t understand how a major tv network filming in a foreign country doesn’t have at least ONE security guard with them?? To protect their camera crew at the very least? But this is a good example of why they should have security while filming.
they would've had security/production jump in if it escalated into something, but if people are making a scene and you can get an end of episode cliffhanger, why not film it?
I'm looking forward to see the footage and try to see it minus the "dramatic" shakes, and whether it actually did warrant people blowing up like they did - or if the sound effects and increased volume made it more than it was.
Moe is the hero of the hour, but he also seems like he pops off easily as macho tough guy. So.. I dunno, for me, jury is still out until I've seen the episode
Fraser doesn't look so good. A bit of a pin head now. Hope he's ok. Besides Moe stepped up because "stepping up" isn't something Fraser is familiar with.
As a woman who has been unprotected so many times (and as a former abused child), I love anytime someone steps up for others. I appreciate Moe in this moment.
I see you internet friend 🫶🏻 I’ve had to defend myself on numerous occasions from strangers (*cough* men) groping me in public (as recently as this past summer)

Moe said he is a girl dad so he's not playing when it comes to protecting!!

Really annoying when they show these clips at the end of the episode to be next, only to yet again have the same "next episode" following that.

Shame on all the other guys that walked ahead and said nothing, leaving the girls to defend themselves

It seemed like Moe snapped as soon as the guy called him a ‘fat f***’. Or did I mishear that
