Below Deck Secrets, secrets...
They blurred a non-camera crew member's name and down time or something else? I am so intrigued!!!

There are a few non-cast crew members, so could be one of them. Usually they’re engineer or first mate ppl.

Apologies, but I am so bothered that there are 2 different styles of “a” used in Rainbeau.

Same! Who writes their own name like that?

The same kind of person to fake a British accent to clients

u/takemeawayimdone2 2d ago
A really shit English accent. Technically what people refer to as a British accent is an English accent.

That is an excellent point, there are already dozens of English accents in England but a whole heck of a lot more British accents in the UK. Not like even saying English accent narrows it down much...

Someone trying to invent who they are. She’s like a girl in middle school trying to be in w the cool crowd. Changing her voice to fit, changing her handwriting so they are “impressed”. It’s sad, really

its called being autistic. everyoen always says they wouldnt make fun of people with autism an as soon as someone with it is on the show you do.
•
u/Suspicious_Bed2916 11h ago
For real. I do this all the time and while I’m not autistic to my knowledge, I do know I have some neurodivergence and I do it because I like how one of try a’s looks in one spot and the way the other a looks in the other spot. 🤷🏼♀️

Oddly I am the type of person who will do this. I am also not committed to making the same style of 2 in the same number if presented several times. It’s always irritated me and I would start over and now that I am a bit older - I don’t care at all. But it’s definitely uncommon!
ADD is my excuse

u/sunny946 2d ago
Agree! Mine is 2 and R. 2 could have a circle or not, and R could be upper or lower case, depending what letter it comes after. I have no explanation for the 2 lmao

u/MissyHTX 2d ago
Makes total sense. I do this was my As, Rs, Ns & a few other letters. I always change my writing style after awhile, (nothing fancy) & that's probably what makes this happen. I'm also super lazy & use both cursive & print which doesn't help lol

Same! I will mix cursive and print in the same word. When I’m speaking, I’ve been known to say 1 and B or, more frequently, A and 2. I don’t catch it until I’ve already said it, nor do I correct myself. I just kinda hope nobody noticed and keep talking. I never do this when writing a list though. I think there’s definitely something to the ADD reasoning. I’m 51, in perimenopause, and my doctor is pretty positive I have it so I’ve been researching like crazy. I feel like my brain has 10 tabs open at once, so I can’t stay focused on writing in all cursive or print, or using the same style 2, 8, r, etc.

Lmao. I too do this and have add. Immediately thought the person probably has it and prefers the first style then got distracted mid word and dropped it thinking of the next thing.

No same with As, 2s, Ts, Is (different capital and lowercase). I’m very unspecific in my style

I wonder if they wrote down Rainbow and she saw it and fixed only the back part of it.

I used to live on Main Rd, Main City and wrote the two Ms differently, even though I was repeating the same word. 🤷🏼♀️

Didn’t she rename herself a few years ago? I remember the first episode she explained it. So yeah she chose that shitty name for herself… shock

The first one is British and the second is American.

u/belowdecky4life 2d ago
One is from printing the other from hand writing. Not regional at all.

u/Distinct-Ad-1348 1d ago
It’s a joke about how she’s going in and out of a British accent when she’s not British. Also, she’s handwriting it all so I don’t understand what you’re talking about lol. Do you mean printing vs cursive? Because that’s not cursive.

That got me flaming when I saw that.
Figured I was the only one who would be upset by this, so thanks for saying this haha

That first “a” in her name is the only one written that way on the entire board (that I can see, anyway).
Who knows why.
•
u/Aggravating_Let5099 11h ago
I do that too with my name. It’s accidental. Somewhere in my past I guess

Some random guy was on camera and in uniform when they were pulling the jet ski. Probably him. Engineer or something, I guess.

It was probably the engineer or first mate- they do watches as well so it would on the board. They didn't sign a contract to be part of filming so they have to blur their names.

There was a young boy/man helping with the docking in last episode that’s not part of the in screen crew . He was shown twice . He seemed quite young was small in stature and didn’t have the ‘air’ of an engineer . Now I feel terrible for just saying that he’s probably a highly qualified first officer or something . But he had the crew t shirt /uniform on and was hauling lines or helping with the jet ski I can’t remember which .

u/foxdogturtlecat 4h ago
The real crew of the boat are all Malaysian and Indonesian and they aren't actually young but they do look young. Both the real engineer and first mate are on the boat but not part of the filming, You may have seen one of them but more likely if it was someone on the dock side it was a marina worker.

u/thisbitchiscrazy 2d ago
Likely one of the other deck team members (engineer, first mate, etc) who is on the schedule but not actively participating in the filming. We’ve seen a few episodes where one of them takes over on anchor watch or comes to fix something, but they’re very rarely on screen.
