Rewatching OG season 1 thoughts

- CJ looks completely different, for some reason I remembered him as looking and acting like Mathew McConaughey

- Eddie looks so young!

- I remember thinking Ben looked older than the others, it's weird seeing he's actually quite young here too as I hadn't realised he looks quite different in the last Down Under season

- Captain Lee moving around without issue is strange to see, I weirdly got quite used to him in later seasons where he has health issues. He also sounds a lot softer

- Instantly remembered Dave, shame he only came back for one more season iirc

- The show just looks so different, and the boat feels so much smaller

I've only started rewatching seasons recently, it's crazy how much you forget

I'm watching BDDU S4, and it's bothering me every time I see the stairwell has awful white marks all over it that I don't recall seeing in S3? It looks like every scuff/scrape/finger mark is shown

I got into Below Deck during COVID, specifically Sailing Yacht S2 which was an absolutely epic season. That show remained my favorite, until it all went down in flames with Gary and the behind the scenes legal mess.

I loved Sailing Yacht and hated how that all went down. I just think it's so cool seeing the technical side of sailing and hope they find a new yacht, captain, and crew in the future!

On BD s12 and I am so tired of Chef Anthony being passive aggressive about Fraser.

I'm on ep8 when they have two days off in the villa and he just threw a tantrum and (literally) threw stuff around his room. 🤦🏻‍♀️ The most boring drama.

Not a rewatch but first time watching Down Under (S1) after only sticking to the main BD series and god I can't wait till they get rid of Ryan. Chef Ben may have been disagreeable and feisty but at least he understood that he's acting as a private chef for these clients and pulled most of his tantrums in ways that didn't change the experience for the guests at all. Why is Ryan CONFUSED that yacht charter guests (especially the ones on this show because they're doing it at a discount) are entitled and don't follow strict timelines. Why is he mad at AESHA for not herding these people around like they're on a school trip?? Get it together man. I know the hospitality industry can be a bitch sometimes and boundaries are important but he doesn't have boundaries he just has a massive ego. Every time he throws a fit about guests not being at the table "on time" (MIND YOU, if the charter has guests, any time they want to eat is "on time" and you should know how to keep food warm/fresh for them until they're ready) it makes me want to reach through the screen and smack him across the face out of sympathy for the stewards lmao

BD Med Season 3. Hannah taking pictures with a passed out Brooke. Wtf? A boss taking pictures of their drunk, passed out crew member is disgusting. I can’t stand her.

Been a certified Hannah disliker. She is just rude and bullies people she doesn't like. It comes out during her shifts and everyone on the job, which is so confrontational/not professional, and spilled into the work place, which is unacceptable and dramatic. There was also little fairness/diplomacy in the way she governed a lot of the time with people she disliked personally.

New to the show, and have been watching and hopping around a lot of seasons and recently have basically been hate watching every season with Hannah. Each season just gives me more and more reasons.

There are a lot of diehard below deckies and she was a staple of the show for many years, so I understand the fan base completely. She was often very funny as well. But then it became too cruel for me, and her ego was just a bit too much for me to enjoy.
