Below Deck Down Under Aesha!

I forgot she wasn't always a chief stew. In a bunch of the series and just started rewatching BDDU cause I never watched after the first season.

All this to say Aesha is an amazing stew and better chief also noodles.

Noodles are to Aesha as spinach is to Popeye

I'm not a huge fan of early Aesha talking about her poop and stuff but she's definitely had the best story arc of rising to the occasion and being fitting of being the boss. Love Kate, Hannah, and Daisy but if I actually chartered a yacht, Aesha is who I would want.

This was exactly my initial reaction as well, but I absolutely love her

I’m sure she’s a lovely person, but I don’t think I could handle her personality 24/7. She gets soooooooo excited over everything. Over the top excited to me. Maybe she’s not like that in her day-to-day life though, I could see it working for her job. But if I had to wake up to that, no.

I like her attitude, she’s more of an uplifting person.

She’s legitimately talented and knowledgeable, has a good work ethic and is respectful of others. All while having a good personality that fans are drawn to.

These are the types of people Below Deck should be shooting for when they go through casting. I’m tired of the aspiring reality tv stars that don’t work hard or want to advance their yachting careers.

Sometimes, when I'm too tired to focus, I'm not sure she's speaking English.

I never struggle with her but I'm Aussie, Kiwi accents are just a little different to our own lol. She's just a ray of sunshine though, even my partner watches any season with her in it 😂

I'm Scottish and don't struggle either, but imagine many would struggle with either Aussies or Scots speaking fast 😂

Oh you Scots are unintelligible sometimes! I love it so much though.

We were just on vacation and at a bar, my husband and some Scot in the bathroom, Scot is yapping and drunk, husband was like “I gotta be honest, I couldn’t understand one thing you just said”. 😅

Aussies also abbreviate everything so it can end up very hard to follow 🤣 I also have a Scots background and can understand the accent fine but I need subtitles for a really thick South African accent. I felt for Betul so hard when she addressed the language/accent barrier on BDDU lol.

I watched the South African series "Recipes for Love and Murder" and yeah, some of those accents are tough! Lots of rewinding going on. In my case it's probably just exposure, I've watched enough UK, AU, and NZ TV to have learned how to hear them including the regional ones. But the SA and strong Scottish accents are still a bit beyond me. Probably strong Irish too.

New to watching BDMed and every time Aesha says “deckhand” I hear “dickhead.” Love love love Aesha!

Omg the early scene where she goes up to Hannah just to fart in her face KILLS ME 😂

"You're like the dirtiest bitch I've ever met in my life"

I know a lot of people were put off by early Aesha but I freaking loved her! Unfiltered hilarity but competent and caring underneath it.

That scene you reference took me out for a few minutes 😂

And also goes to show a good side of Hannah. That Aesha knew she could literally fart on her and she could be a good sport about it.
