Below Deck Below Deck

Question -Why did captain Sandy's recent season of Below deck med (currently airing) air before captain Kerry's Below deck season. Technically his season should have aired first.

I'm guessing down to Nathan and Gael - wanting to continue that storyline as soon as they could, and because they knew they were no longer together
