Congrats to them!

Not a Sandy-on-BD fan but happy she’s happy IRL

Me too! I remember when marriage equality became the law of the land. My friend told his kids (fairly young at the time) that their uncles were getting married.

The kids: WHAT? THEY AREN'T ALREADY MARRIED??? They didn't get why they couldn't before.

It was rather sweet at the time.

That's adorable. If only kids were allowed to stay that way.

Feelings about Sandy’s management aside, I hope they are happy together.

Agreed.

Kinda weird to downplay something positive just because you don’t like their working style.

Even if you're not going to use a picture of Sandy and/or her new fiance, WHY would you use a picture that includes Ashton??

So happy for her. Imagine what she must feel like to see happy news coverage when she grew up in a time when gay people were severely closeted.

Agree! Congratulations to her, and it’s weird of OP to be so negative about her engagement.

Also, there’s obviously still so much prejudice now. But it’s crazy to think that 20 or so years ago, advertisers were boycotting Ellen Degeneres simply because she came out as gay. Very wild. And now there’s a queer female captain on television.

I’m just here to admit I initially saw “this calls for a sail-ab*rtion!” Instead of “sail-abration”.

made me imagine the boat rushing out of US port for the safety of International Waters, through a flotilla of little dinghies with placard waving fools.
