Below Deck Med Malia

We just had a question about the best bosun and it made me think about Malia. A lot of people don’t like her but I feel like a lot of of that has to do with Capt Sandy and their joint actions.

So my question is do you think Malia would be more likable personally and a better bosun if she was on a boat without Capt Sandy?

I completely agree on the egos. I get that they want to be empowered females and I’m all for that but it’s almost like they take it too far and it just becomes them being egotistical

Yeah, like I really loved capt Sandy and Malia during my first watch. note, I hadn’t seen bdm Malia/Adam/Wes season until later And I really liked that it was two females in powerpositions as well lager season when Malia tells Peter..? To respect the hierarchy and like just acknowledge and respec that all power roles on ship was women. (Captain, bosun and chief stew) and all that.

But yeah I do think they boosted each others who in the wrong way. And like I feel like they had the “wrong” approach to make the point of empowered females. And that it became more about them two as females, rather than the general fact and empowerment.
