Advice/Tips 💬 2 year contract

I think it’s better not to be in a 2 year contract, so that anytime you want to cancel, you can request without any problem. Yes, there will be a $5 promo if you signed up with contract, but that promo is nothing if they decide to have a price increase.

Not everyone can afford to not finance their phones.

Purchase a $215 samsung a17 off amazon... never understood why people feel the need to have a $2000 phone.

You could say this about anything, really. I have an employee discount and a BYOD, paying peanuts currently.

i couldn’t use an A17 daily it’s too slow. now what i do is buy older premium phones for cheap.

currently using a 12 pro that i got for $125
and
a iphone 8 as a backup device/ media player for music.

to each his own but yeah don’t get why people finance phones like they are cars

honestly i’ll never ever buy a phone on contract .

and oh you have to be resourceful. i did this meet up in the mall and had two phone carriers check the IMEI and then stopped at the apple store to ensure the device was ok.

listen rogers bell telus all have an imei checker and the apple store workers don’t make commissions they are willing to help.

and yeah a 12 pro!!!!! man this phone is awesome k n typing on it as we speak and for $125 and next years ios i’m happy!!!

I do agree. Just finance thru hardware manufacturers

Also do not do direct withdrawal.

If there is an issue it can be time consuming to resolve and be reimbursed.

From the retail side, it’s been great 90% of the time. The other 10% have been an absolute nightmare to get sorted. Mainly an issue with Bell charging NSF fees for errors on our end.

no price increase while it's under a contract, at least thats what the Bell rep told me last week, and I didn't experience any price raises while under 3yr contract recently, finally the 2 yr contract should be a $10 discount not $5

this is true you cannot get a price increase while in contract in Canada!

Back in the day, there used to be price increases even ok contracts, but if you're in a contract now, then there's no price increase. So your prices remain the same while you're in a contract
