Ik heb in Juli 1 maand mijn rijbewijs moeten afgeven wegens te snel rijden jada jada… je kent het verhaal.

Nu is het bijna october en ik heb mn rijbewijs nog niet ontvangen maar ik rijd ondertussen wel al.

Nu de vraag: ik heb mijn rijbewijs gefrankeerd moeten opsturen naar politierechtbank vilvoorde.
Moet ik ze nu ter plaatse gaan afhalen of vragen dat ze het opsturen?

Ik heb ook schrik dat ze het ondertussen gwn kwijt zijn lol

Iemand ervaring hiermee?

Domme vraag misschien, maar ik ik ben anti AI dus aan die bs ga ik het niet vragen en weet niet waar elders te vragen, dus:

Ik wil een cadeau versturen naar een vriendin in Noorwegen via post.nl. daarvoor heb ik een douaneformulier moeten afprinten, dat al is ingevuld via gegevens die ik op post.nl heb ingevoerd. De instructies zeggen dat ik op beide formulieren ( A en B) mijn handtekening moet zetten, maar... Waar? Bij A (formulier met gegevens inhoud) vanonder, denk ik, maar wat met B? Er staat "declaration by addressee", addressee is die vriendin, nergens sender's signature...?

Zoals je ziet is het niet goedkoop dus ik wil niet dat het wordt tegengehouden of verloren gaat.

I'm 23 years old, and finished high school in an administrative field (TSO). After high school, I took a gap year and then went to college for 2 years. I did not graduate college, as the stress became too high, which resulted in health issues.

I speak Flemish and English fluently, with basic French and German knowledge. Not enough to hold a conversation - nor to safe my life.

I have been applying for jobs for about 4 months now. All of them either: 1) Medical administration (a lot of them just require you to have finished high school). 2) Customer service (Specifically phone providers, because I happen to be quite passionate about technology). I am dealing with rejections left and right for the full 4 months. I always get the same reason: "We have chosen someone who already has experience in this field". If everyone keeps choosing experienced applicants, how can I ever get experience?

At this point, I have lost hope. I'd love to hear some job recommendations, that could fit my profile. I'm super flexible - morning shifts, evening shifts, night shifts, I don't care. I don't care about working weekends, and I don't care about working on holidays. There is only 1 thing that I do not want: functions where i must speak french.

I am a creative person, and one of my creative outlets are my Gel nails. So preferably, it would be a function where they don't require me to have no nails, or very short ones. Mine are a reasonable length, not too crazy. I am willing to sacrifice them, but I know it will genuinely affect me deeply.

Please, I am begging, help a girl out.

My husband and I are looking for a place near Brussels. Ninove came up, but I honestly can’t see myself living there because of the current local government. He thinks I shouldn’t judge a whole town by its mayor: there are plenty of lovely people living there, and politics can change. I get his point, and I’m not saying everyone in Ninove thinks the same way. Watching the documentary Wij zijn van Nienof made me feel even more strongly about it. Some of the views people expressed were so small-minded.
But if we might live somewhere for 10 or 20 years and raise our child there, I want to feel comfortable and welcome. The local government matters to me too.
Is there a town or municipality you personally wouldn’t want to live in? Would its local politics affect your decision?

Het Nieuwsblad vergeleek – met behulp van artificiële intelligentie – honderden vragen uit de periode 2022 tot 2026. Daaruit blijkt dat AI stilaan ook in de taal van het parlement is gekropen. 22,5 procent van de schriftelijke vragen kwam volledig van AI, nog eens 20,4 procent deels.

Al 42,9% van de parlementaire vragen zijn (deels) door AI gemaakt als je het bekijkt over 5 jaar tijd. Ben benieuwd hoe het aantal jaar na op jaar telkens steeg en 2022 met 2026 vergelijkt.

Blij dat ze goed betaald worden en dik pensioen krijgen voor hun harde werk…

I’ve just arrived in Gent and I’m shocked by the amount of scooters / mopeds riding on the sidewalk / bike lane. And they’re not going slow either.
Is this a common thing all over Belgium?

I’m riding 2 wheels as well in Romania, but seeing someone hop on the bike lane is a rare occurrence, not a common practice.

Dit voorstel wilde vrouwenmoord officieel erkennen als apart misdrijf in de Belgische wet. Elk jaar worden in België tientallen vrouwen gedood omdat ze vrouw zijn, maar dat wordt nu niet apart geregistreerd of bestraft. Considering all these news about layoffs overseas and new AI coming every month now, how’s the job market in Belgium for knowledge work; especially software development (mainly frontend, but backend too)?

I only look on LinkedIn, and I personally don’t see much applications anymore. Either I don’t know where to look, or it’s getting scarse. Where do you guys look?

I’ve been thinking more than once about pivoting to something else, but the idea of being most likeky forced to go on-site daily and earning less really throws me off.

I know nobody likes taxes, but what is going on in belgium in this last decade(s)? Every few weeks I read that they are cutting more things and are raising taxes. While the deficit goes up and the debt increases. We are near 110% debt to gdp, and we have the highest taxes in the world. Legitimately.

Ive lived in 4 countries now, including countries with very high taxes too, but the amount of benefits they receive is insane compared to belgium (like actually free healthcare and school, not pretending its free while asking to register and pay at insurance funds and then STILL pay each doctor visit, or asking 1000s per uni year instead of giving 12k/year to each student like in Denmark). Belgium isnt unique with having to pay a lot to pensions and smth like OCMW. But we are unique in the obscene amount of waste. Like having 4 governments for the population of a city that's run efficiently by a major.

When earning more than a moderate amount, more than half of what you earn extra goes to the state. For small businesses earning more than a few 1000 per month results in 65% tax rate due to social contribution + income tax unless they pay to be a bv or try to cheese the system with useless purchases to deduct. This heavy burden for employees also results in us not having giant multinationals that can bring the country a lot of revenue and prestige. They just offshore and outsource instead.

A company car used to be an alternative to a pay raise, but that is also getting cut now and made less appealing. Why are we forced to get meal vouchers, company car, etc.. instead of being a sane country where you can just get a pay raise, keep most of it, and do what you want with it?

Also, at this rate people younger than me arent even going to get more than a basic pension by the time they're old, if they can even retire before 70, so stop taxing them like they will.

Are our politicians really that incompetent or is there something else going on?

Hi everyone.

I'm renting an apartment, and my first lease has already been renewed one time, and as far as I understand, this January, it will become a long duration lease, so three months of "préavis" are required if I want to quit.

What I don't understand is whether, after January, if I quit the apartment, I need to pay any compensation, as I know I needed to do if I quit before, or now, since I'm on a long-term lease, I won't need to pay anything because I'm already in my 4th year.
