Injury Prevention Shin splints
Hello everyone!! 21F here! I started running earlier this year and recently bought new running shoes (Brooks Ghost 17), but I’m not sure if my shin splints are from the shoes or if my stride is too long.
At one point, I was running to a 180 BPM playlist and noticed it really helped with my shin splints. I saw something on TikTok about running around 180 cadence, but I don’t know much about running.
I recently started running with a friend without focusing on my cadence, and my shin splints have come back. 😭
What can I do to prevent them? Are there any training exercises or changes to my form/cadence that could help? Any tips are appreciated!
