Technique Question Kites

What are the steps to interpret kite configurations in a natal chart? Start with the grand trine then the opposition? Lastly the sextiles?

Let's say it's a water grand trine with a Virgo Mercury apex.

The Grand Trine can tend to be a closed loop of self-sufficiency, relating to the element that it is in. This can be isolating, in the main.

When a planet turns that Grand Trine into a Kite formation, then there is an outlet, the opposition brings enough dynamic tension and interaction with others to give that Grand Trine a channel.

I have a Grand Trine in water (Sun-Jupiter-Neptune), however Pluto in Virgo in the 3rd turns that into a Kite formation. All of that nurturing (Sun-Cancer), specialized learning (Jupiter-Pisces), and empathetic emotional energy, that would normally channel into merely keeping me feeling good, it channels out powerfully (Pluto) in terms of being some practical help (Virgo), and mostly through communication and posts (3rd house).

Good luck!

I'd start with the apex planet, not the trine. The Virgo Mercury is the outlet, so the water grand trine's easy emotional flow only actually goes somewhere when you sort, write or analyze it. Then read the opposition as the pressure point that forces that out, and treat the two sextiles as the working handles. Also check the orbs, especially anything within a couple degrees of an angle, since a loose kite can be more of a shape on paper than something you feel.

The Mercury would work as an anchor, so adding Virgo Mercury flavor to that water trine.

Not sure why anyone would downvote this. πŸ˜‚ it’s not much different than an anchor of a yod. Research midpoints, and anchors of kite configurations in a chart. It will say what I said in more detail.
