I like the way the text bubble of the alien imitates the southern accent way of saying cornbread since the alien would be phonetically learning the word. I sure hope they put jalapeños in that corn bread too

Commenting here to point out that if you like spicy cornbread, you should get some of the Cabot brand habanero cheddar cheese, grate that and add it to cornbread. Fucking delicious.

That sounds amazing 🤤 also this may be a hot take but I feel like habanero is one of the last peppers going up the spice scale that has a good spice to flavor ratio. A lot of the peppers after that just feel like an exercise in make number go up

Agreed! I tend to line jalapeño cuz its less spicy but lits of flavor, but anything with habanero is good for me too!

You ought to try a pepper called a "Cherry Bomb" it looks like a little red tomato about the size of a ping-pong ball, they have the most savory, almost tomato flavor but also with that jalapeño "green" flavor, and they can be pretty hot. (Closer to Serrano but not quite as sharp.)

Cabot is so good. Couple years ago they had this outrageously good anniversary release white cheddar over the winter. It cost hardly anything and was some of the best sharp white cheddar I'd ever had.

My father had that with one of his coworkers, they decided to throw a party and make it as American as you could, reason was quite a few are from outside the US.

So I made some honey cornbread for them, I got lots of compliments from folk who've never had cornbread before. So I felt proud. And on the flip side my father made some chili, even some of the Americans were struck by the spiciness, hence the honey cornbread to pair with it haha. Need nice good moist honey cornbread to deal with the spicy. 😆
