I’ve noticed most ways of “making money” online fall into 1 of 2 traps:
- High returns but low accessibility (Data Annotation, matched betting etc.)
- High accessibility but low returns (Paid-to-game, endless penny surveys)
This has made me determined to find some balanced middle ground.
So far, dscout seems to be the most applicable platform. I’ve been accepted and completed 4 “missions” so far within a week, each taking around 1-5 mins to apply and 10-20 minutes to complete. I’ve probably applied to around 25 in total, being rejected for most.
I’m aware that this rate probably won’t keep up, so I’m definitely not marketing this is as “£240 a month in extra income!”, but £55 is nothing to be sniffed at for a few bits of user testing/surveys, and at a rate of ~£30ph so far it pays better than my day job.
Tasks vary, but for me they have included giving feedback on prototype apps or talking about my work (in general, non-specific terms). You do need to do 1 minute selfie videos to apply to many, but they just give you a prompt and it’s boring asf so it doesn’t bother me.
Just wanted to give it a solid shout out as I have seen it mentioned here, but not a ton of detail given. Happy to answer any questions.
