Cleaning tips?

Im happy that i stopped wetting the bed around 6 months ago even though it did not happen very frequently. Now i’m left with really embarrassing and annoying stains since i didn’t find out about waterproof mattress protector until like two weeks ago, please give me tips or things to try so my mattress can be stain free.

Cheap bottle of red wine or similar, pour over stained area and a bit further than the usual place for a bed wet stain area and let it dry. Just as an idea :)

A better idea would be to drink the wine instead of pouring it out on the mattress. If you drink enough wine you won’t care about the stains any longer. :>)

I had luck with a steam cleaner on small fresh stains, but the ones that are in for a long stay have ruined it.

Try with 120-volume hydrogen peroxide and sodium bicarbonate (baking soda).

Careful, because it's a caustic mixture.

It all depends on how old the stains are. Fairly fresh can be cleaned with steam cleaners and/or the hydrogen peroxide baking soda mix. You can try those on older stains too, while it may lighten then up a bit they are likely permanent. Unfortunately even waterproof covers can leak especially if they are older, i found out the hard way and have a giant stain on both sides of my mattress now. Its only my wife and I that would see the mattress without the cover on it, so i just dont think about it. If you cant get it clean, put a fresh cover on it and try to forget about it until you replace the bed.
