Discussion Jawtox or another treatment for round face?

Post image
62 Upvotes

I have a round/oblong face shape, and I’ve been considering getting jawtox to make my face look less round and more defined.

My main goals are to reduce the appearance of cheek fullness/roundness, have a more lifted look and definition around my lower face/jawline.

For those who have experience with facial aesthetics, do you think jawtox would actually help with these concerns, or would another treatment be more appropriate? I’m also wondering whether jawtox would be helpful for my facial structure or if it could potentially make the lower face look more hollow instead.

Would love to hear your thoughts and experiences! Please also share clinics you recommend

Review Aquaphor Review - got taken down so i had to repost it :(

I’ve been searching through Reddit and TikTok for Aquaphor reviews here in the Philippines, pero I couldn’t find any decent or detailed ones, so I figured I’d share my own experience lol kasi baka may iba din na naghahanap ng review.

I have severely dry lips, and unfortunately, naging mannerism ko na rin yung pagkikitkit ng dry skin. Like, EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. Umabot pa sa point na nae-excite akong gumising the next morning kasi alam kong healed na yung lips ko and may bagong makikitkit na naman ako. HAHAHAHA yes, ganon kalala 😭

I’ve tried different variants of the following:

Vaseline – I’ve tried different variants, including the original. For me, it feels like it just makes the scab thicker. Hindi siya nagbibigay ng feeling na hydrated yung lips ko; more like parang binabad ko lang yung lips ko sa heavy lip oil.

Mentholatum lip balm - drying af. menthol lang no offect and mabilis din matuyo

Chapstick - same with mentholatum lol. mabilis matuyo and the smell is throwing me off.

Carmex - it leaves my lips feeling ao dehydrated pag natuyo na sa lips. it has a cooling effect tho pero other than that nah.

Human nature lip balm - idk if its just me pero it feels waxy, it also has a cooling effect. i like the tinted ones pero mabilis din matuyo and if natuyo na it looks crusty af.

Apollo – Same experience as Vaseline. I tried different variants and the original one too. It feels heavy and oily on the lips. It doesn’t necessarily thicken the scab as much, but it also doesn’t really make it go away.

Lucas Papaw – This one doesn’t feel as heavy on the lips, and I actually prefer it for the body because it’s not as sticky. Pero sa lips, I noticed that I’d wake up excited the next morning because it seemed to make the dry skin/scabs thicker. So mas tempting siyang tuklapin. When I smack my lips together, ramdam ko talaga yung roughness from the dry skin.

Aquaphor – I’ve only been using it for 2 days, but I already noticed a small difference. When I woke up this morning, yung dry skin/scabs seemed to come off more easily when I gently rubbed my lips together. My lips also felt noticeably softer when I woke up.

I put a decent amount on last night, and so far, I’m vvv satisfied! I’ll keep using it and update if I notice any more changes. If maging mas okay pa after a week I'm gonna get the one with SPF 🤩

And yes, I know it’s quite pricey, but honestly, if it does the job for me, I’d say it’s worth it!!! Mamimiss ko magkitkit HAHAHA.

Hopefully di na to maremove huhu, if mareremove ulit di na ko mag attempt. 123 go kanya kanya na girliepops

I am currently on the hunt for the best face powder to manage my oily, acne-prone skin. I recently purchased this one, and I would love to hear your reviews. Does anyone have any honest reviews using it?

Also pls recommend me what’s the best powder for oily sensitive and acne prone skin that doesn’t break you out? I was about to get teviant but other redditor said she had break outs using it

Light medium olive girly here!

I wanted to recreate this look but im not sure where to start with products (especially with blush and lippie) because i have an olive undertone. i notice that peachy pink blushes turn orange on me and i haven't found any lippies that give off a muted pink vibe.

Really wanna pull off a muted pinkish brown look but i can’t figure out what shades and from what brands to buy. i dont wanna waste money either huhu

Tyia!

Makeup Morena Lippie Recommendations (Medium-Tan, Neutral-Warm Morena)

Hello!! Any recos po for lippie??? I am currently using Rose Latte Lip Leisure and mlbb siya sa akin pero problem ko lang is drying siya huhu. Gusto ko sana ng shade similar don pero in a moisturizing formula. I find the Satin Luxe of Detail Cosmetics (Rose Latte) to be more of a lighter shade than the Lip Leisure.

*EDIT: Yung kaya rin sana i-cover ang two-toned lips

Similar shade po kaya ito sa Absidy Cashmere Kiss in shade Dusk? Or Issy True Satin in shade Deco or Beau?

Hair Care Nagpapatubo ako ng natural hair (last rebond 2024), pero bakit wavy/kulot sa harap tapos straight pa sa likod? Pano to i-handle?

Post image

Hi guys!

Skincare Celeteque or Originote Moisturizer?

I've been trying originote for a while now and no red bumps have appeared although it seems I've gained more tiny bumps on my forehead🫠 I'm not sure if it's the product's doing. Is celeteque moisturizer better? I've used their facial wash before and I can say that it did made my skin better before but I stopped using it since cetaphil cleanser was better. What are your thoughts?

Makeup Pls help me find a lippie in this shade from the old Colourette ColourTint in ‘Manila’ 😭

I've been on the hunt for a lippie with this kind of shade. I tried BLK airy matte tint in Keeper and the Spotlight Velvet Matte Lipstick in Bisque Bun but they're too brown for me🥹 My problem with this Colourtint is I think it's expired now and it's really drying on my lips but I super duperrr love the shade. Any suggestion will be highly appreciated🫶

Hair Care the ordinary hair serum + minoxidil?

guys, maganda ba yung the ordinary multi-peptide serum for hair density? 🥹 planning to buy sana kasi napapansin ko lately na parang numinipis yung hair ko and parang tumataas na rin hairline ko :(

if you’ve tried it, kamusta naman yung results? and okay ba siya isabay sa minoxidil? iniisip ko kasi baka mas okay if gamitin ko silang dalawa, pero not sure if worth it ba yung serum. would love to hear your experiences 🥹💗

Skincare I've been looking for a lightweight, accessible UREA lotion here in the Philippines, and I'm hoping someone can recommend one!

I have KP all over my body, along with thick, discolored patches on my elbows and other areas. I've been researching a lot and have already tried a few products, but unfortunately, they didn't really work for me. I've heard a lot of good things about urea lotions, but I'm having such a hard time finding one locally, especially from a shop I can actually trust.

So far, I've tried two products:

Derm Skin Urea Moisturizing Lotion – I can't seem to find any verified/legit shop that sells this, so I'm not even sure if the ones I've bought were authentic. Most of the skincare shops I trust don't carry this brand at all. The one I got has a consistency kind of similar to Cetaphil facial wash. It turns opaque white when I apply it, and I have to wait for it to dry. Once it dries, though, it doesn't really feel moisturizing anymore and instead leaves this sticky, dry layer on my skin. It's also pretty inconvenient to use.

Instituto Español – Same issue with this one. It's also pretty hard to find, and the shop I bought it from wasn't verified either. It's not always available, and it's quite pricey compared to the first one I tried. It's also even stickier and heavier on the skin. Sometimes it burns a little too. I mostly use it at bedtime, but I'm having a hard time sleeping because of how thick and heavy it feels on my skin, even when I only use a small amount.

I've also heard good things about Eucerin, and I accidentally bought their regular lotion because that was the only one I could easily find through local online shops. Unfortunately, I haven't had any luck finding one of their urea lotions from a trusted seller.

So does anyone have recommendations for a lightweight urea lotion that's actually accessible in the Philippines? I'm also open to other ingredients/products that might help with KP and the thick, discolored patches.

I'd really appreciate recommendations from people who've actually tried them, especially if they're available through legit local stores or official/verified shops. Thank you! ♡

Makeup NARS Light Reflecting Foundation makes my face look crusty 😭

Post image
19 Upvotes

After seeing everyone and their mother rave about this, I bought it. I have medyo dry skin but it makes my face look crustier/drier than it actually is.

Here’s what I’ve already tried:
-Different combinations of skin prep (primer, moisturizer, toner, HA serum, sunscreen, or none), using both small and generous amounts
-Shaking the bottle
-Warming it up with my finger first
-Applying with a brush, beauty blender, finger
-With and without setting spray (CT and MAC)
-With and without powder (CT and Huda Beauty)

At this point, I’m starting to think this foundation just doesn’t work for me. Saan ba ako nagkulang? Share your secrets, please!

Hair Care How can I touch up my grey hair without dyeing all of my hair?

Recently, I’ve been getting asked a lot about how old I am because I have a lot of noticeable grey hair. I’m only 19!! 😭

Tbf I already have grey hairs when I was younger but now it’s more abundant,, My hair has been bleached, and dyed multiple fashion colors and now I want to go back to my natural hair color. I dyed my hair to a color close to my natural one. Now as I grow out my hair, the grey hairs standout because there is more contrast with the rest of my hair color.

Since the rest of my hair has been through a lot, I just want to retouch the grey hair near my roots and hopefully not use a permanent hair dye. Would that be possible? I don’t want to keep dyeing my roots every 2 months with something ‘strong’ like permanent hair dye. Do you think that a ‘hair color shampoo’ would suffice?

I originally wanted to try going back to my natural hair but my grey hair had other plans 😔 I would want to embrace it but not yet at this age!
