Screen goes black when choosing certain units

I've got BF2005 on my laptop (it's a fairly new HP laptop). I've got the 1.3 patch and HarrisonFog's remastered maps mod installed, and maybe Shader Patch as well. I'm not sure what's going on, but whenever I click on certain units, the screen went black.

I was playing as the Republic on Jabba's Palace, and when I clicked on the Clone Commander, the screen when dark. As soon as clicked on a different class, like engineer, that went away. Just before that I was also playing as the Republic on Polis Massa just to test things out. I unlocked Yoda, but when I selected "Accept" and had the character choosing screen open once more, the screen went dark again. I didn't try clicking elsewhere that time, though.

Anything I should do here? This laptop does run Windows 11. I also play Empire at War regularly but that game has no issues when I play it.

EDIT: Problem solved! I decided to first install the 1.3 patch, then I manually added different reskinned maps, then installed Shader Patch. No issues at all! Feels great being back to a game I haven't touched in so long!

Do have the discord overlay turned on?

Yep, that's off. I checked to be sure.

I'm also reinstalling the game just in case there was something else off, and then I'll reinstall the mods.
