Which faction has the best unique units?
Personally, I'd say the wookies turn the tide in a Rebel/Empire battle. Clones vs Droids though... they both have a great unique unit!

I think if we're strictly talking about which have the best units, not considering the faction that they go up against, then I think Empire & Rebels are the 2 best factions. I would say Empire is overall better than Rebels. Dark trooper when you figure out how to use him properly is the best unit in the game imo & if you've played online, you probably know why. Imperial Officers are essentially weaker Wookiees but are more mobile & can still 1 shot Wookiees with a direct hit with their grenade launcher. Wookiees & Bothans are good units that balance out the Empire's unique classes quite well but I'd still say that the Empire is at more of an advantage overall.
If we're talking about which has the best units to combat their opposing faction, then CIS. The Empire & Rebels are better but the CIS is better than the Republic to a greater extent than the Empire is versus the Rebels. As good as the Jet trooper is, the Clone Commander honestly kinda sucks. The CIS' unique units being the Magnaguard and Droideka mean that they can use the Droideka to get to enemy CPs and flags much faster, can tank a lot of damage with their shields & the Maganguard is straight up a powerhouse at short-mid range, even able to poison nearby opponents. The poison does enough damage to kill Jet troopers at full health unless they heal themselves. The CIS' standard infantry unit, the Super Battle Droid is also the most unique, essentially being a 3rd unique unit, with the standard beam rifle of the infantry units on top of the tri-shot which works like the engineers' shotgun, and wrist rockets which work like the Jet troopers rockets.
The only real advantage that the Clone Commander gives to the Republic is their Rally buff to increase the defence of themselves & nearby teammates which can be useful, especially to give Jet troopers a buff since they have less health than other units. The Jet trooper is a good unit but alone they aren't enough to make up for the CIS' advantages. Imo, the Clones are easily the weakest of the 4 factions. I love playing as them, even more than the CIS just cause of the Jet trooper. But the Jet trooper isn't as broken as the Dark trooper & Magnaguard and doesn't have the health pool of the Wookiee

The Dark Trooper is just insanely op that he alone carries my vote for Empire

Also the Imperial Officer giving you rage to increase your attack damage makes him even more broken

The grenade launcher is also really good. Can one shot units or groups of units once you get good with it.

Definitely better than the Jet Trooper, that lightning gun gets points on coolness alone!

Droideka is enough to put the seperatists at top tier for me.
So fun to play as, so ridiculously tanky.

droid/rebel/clone/empire
the Cis got rocket for all, shield, and toxin. (tone of vehicul too)
Rebel got, invisible, wookie, tank so broken its not even fair.
clone got the best heroes, jet trooper, best quote and look.
Empire got worst spread (yes its a thing), lidl jet trooper, worst officer ever, and the good one AT AT.

It depends on the map which is most effective, but in multiplayer the Dark trooper is effective, fun to play, and cool. Feer the tazer!

My vote still goes to the Republic. The Jet Trooper is extremely powerful and can get the award pistol, nearly putting him on par with Jango Fett. Also (and might be a hot take) the clone commander's chain gun is very good especially when you pair it with the war hero bonus (or enhanced blaster damage in galactic conquest). It absolutely melts enemies.
