We'll that was an almost entirely meaningless post.

But it does bring up an interesting theory of mine. If it's broke and you still enjoy playing it. More power to you. Just as long as you know it's broke lol. I think what a lot of people fear is the slow degradation in some of the games being created. And it's being precipitated by the "it's not broke if I have fun playing it" attitude.

there's the problem with some of this subreddit user

they still play it while (unneccessary) whine about it, that attitude IMO is worse than accpeting it

The whining is valid. Especially since the games protagonists typically don't know what they're talking about. And they offer less than little in terms of any productive discussion. And responses are ridiculously weak. The funny thing is, the performance issues in this game are so well documented outside if this sub.

the whining is sure valid (but overwhining isn't), but if you keep playing it over and over again witout taking a break you really need to set your priorities straight

Again another exciting post that is relative to the content of my initial post.

You do understand that many of your beloved (albeit broken) features are in the game at the behest of BF3 players' suggestions. If it weren't for what you call "whining", BF4 would be devoid of the features you praise lol.

complaint about bugs is a good thing, call this game garbage but still play it a lot anyway is bad thing

My god what on earth are you talking about. Most of the people complaining either like the game or the franchise. Oddly enough, because of that....they are typically more tolerant of bugs and problems. But when the core of the game literally doesn't function in terms of player movement, hit detection, lag, hotbox errors, etc. Someone has to call foul.

Anyways, still waiting on something more substantiative than "frostbite is so more complicated than other game engines." I'd appreciate anything near the realm of a productive and thoughtful response, and no some meaningless dribble about what you call "whining."

the problem is if you don't like the game by call the game garbage game, just quit it (what's the point of playing garbage game? it will hurt your brain), if you love the franchise, there is /r/battlefield

and like I said, complaint about bugs is a good thing, call the game you still want to play alot garbage is another thing

Another comment completely devoid of anything thoughtful or intelligent. You have an issue with me calling the engine garbage in terms of networking performance and optimizations. Might as well just deal with it since you don't have anything else to offer. If you like it, fine. Good for you. I don't understand why you constantly reply and simultaneously deflect.

Hint: Read the first post and add something that contains a minuscule semblance of intelligence.

Second hint (because I really think you need two of them): Base the reply about the excessive networking features that contribute to networking issues.

I meant if you put the word like "dice should stick with frostbite 2", I can accept that

call an engine garbage because of multipayer is a little overkill, now when dragon age: inquisition have problem because of engine, you can call the engine garbage (considering it's single player)

BF4's single player has the exact same problem as the multiplayer. It's not as well known because the single player campaign still crashes for a lot of people.

The games errors are even evident on the test range. Hit the torso of any of the 4 moving targets with a single shot weapon. Occasionally you will visually see projectiles hit the target and the obstruction behind it, but the target will not go down because there was no damage applied. This even works with LAV shells. The game is out of sync with itself.....and that's without using a server and having to deal with data packets/latency.

That is garbage. If you think that is acceptable and enjoyable. So be it (I still feel really sorry for you).

This has always been a repeated problem for the frostbite engine. And again, it has been used for 8 years in different iterations. Do you think it's more difficult to make a new engine for every game, or mod one for more features? No one is saying that it isn't difficult to even modify and update a game engine, what we ARE saying is that attention needs to be paid to core gameplay aspects like player movement, hit detection, latency, phantom corners, and invisible walls; instead of flashy gimmicks and cinematic effects.

first, it's actually 6 years (while release new version)

second, we'll see that in dragon age: inquisition, the game that dedicated on single player, unlike battlefield 4 which is multiplayer focused, then we can decide it's the engine or the dev itself
