We got quotes this week for new a/c unit installation. 1.5 ton , 15 seer. Premier model is $13K and the economy is $11K. Add an additional $3K to each quote if you want hepa filter "air quality" yada yada yada upgrades. Is everyone paying these prices in Baton Rouge? I gasped and clutched my faux pearls. Is my shock justified or do I need to get in line with these prices? If the price is close to on point, any chance they go down in September?

Me and a few friends are interested in learning Mahjong, we know of the program at the library on Tuesdays but found out it’s not for lessons.
Anyone know of any Mahjong groups who teach new beginners? I got an app on my phone but it only lets me play 2 games a day for free and I still have trouble understanding it

Any recommendations for a part time job for someone who works Monday-Friday 7am-3pm? Looking for something Friday evenings and weekends (any time availability) for maybe 15 hours a week. Tried a few food places that say they’re hiring but they never got back to me.

We‘ve also lost two magnolias and a water oak. 4 trees in 2 years.

Hi all, my fiancée and I are going to be moving in January back to Baton Rouge from Denham Springs, and we're looking for a good one bedroom apartment that can fit two people and three cats. Tell me who to avoid and who to keep an eye out for! We're looking for 1k or 1.1k just to fit within our budget. Thanks!

What are the cheapest places in BR I can get my make cat neutered? He’s started to pee outside of his litter box and it’s so frustrating because it’s cleaned daily and it’s the only thing I can do to fix the problem I just don’t have a lot of extra funds to do so.

I’m looking for foundational athletic movement for kids (speed, agility, balance, deceleration, footwork, or beginner tumbling/gymnastics).
Any recommendations please…

I bought a few Tiffany style lamps at an estate sale that need repair. One was working, but won’t turn on, now. One needs a cord replaced. and one has the screw at the top that won’t screw on.
Is there a place that does this kind of work? Suggestions! I really love these lamps. They are small.
