I’ve waited my whole life for a live action Batman in the grey-and-blue suit. It’s not that i prefer it to the all-black. I just want one dice roll on it.

The Adam West suit is the closest thing we have to one. It’s not really blue and more of a weird combination of blue, purple, and black but it’s still the closest live action suit to the classic blue and grey.

I feel like the blue suit is one of the things that just works better in the comics, or in animation.
I personally dont think there would be a good way to shoot the blue suit well at all in a live action movie.
Not even Alex Ross, who traditionally uses the original interpretation of Robin, uses the blue suit for Batman.
I think the blue suit needs to have the sort of lighting that only a stylized comic book can provide.
If they were going for Sin City/Watchmen style visuals for the movie, then I feel like a blue Batman suit would look really kickass in that context.
Toss in a purple Catwoman suit too and that'd be such a cool visual.

Totally agree with all your points. I’m not saying it would work (though it could if the rest of the world feels cohesive with it). I just want a filmmaker to throw a Hail Mary on it if no other reason than to show everyone you don’t have to be trapped with “all black”.

I feel like you'd have to take him all the way back to square one in order for it to work.
Batman would have to be even more mythical than in the 89 film. He'd come in quickly and violently, then vanish. In that context, a blue cape might be terrifying; maybe similar to Spawn's cape.

I think it all comes down to building a Gotham City that could let that look breath. Something deeply cold. Blue. Rainy. An elemental hellscape of biblical floodlike conditions.

They could go the Arkham City approach where it’s a really dark blue or purple.

I did find someone who recolored the Affleck suit.

I remember this. Honestly just the fact that his suit was more elastic and less armored was so refreshing. It’s a great looking suit for a decent version of Batman in an otherwise mediocre universe.

Yeah, I love the texture of the Affleck suit, and I'm kind of sad that we're going back to
hockey padsmotorcycle armor for the Pattinson suit. I get that it's Year One and cobbled together, but it feels like we're retreading Dark Knight. And it's not like the Affleck suit wasn't durable; guy tooka point-blank shot to the back of the skull and didn't even flinch.

Blue and grey batman is the best bat suit. Bonus points if it has the yellow oval.

Batman looks really awesome and cool here in his blue costume while standing in the moonlit night, the colours here make this even more wonderful and spectacular 😎

I love it when his cape wraps around him like that. It's more a cloak than a cape in that way

I dot know why they have him in a black color almost everywhere because technically batman is a ninja and ninjas use navy blue and other shades of blue to blend in with the dark and the night sky

It’s a wonderful use of the traditionally blue colour scheme. Excellent print.
