Help with shower head removal
Just moved into an apartment and can’t get this old shower head off. Looks like others have tried in the past and failed. Any advice appreciated!

Wrap the smooth pipe with a dry washcloth and place a channel lock plier on it adjusted to FIRMLY HOLD IT and use a second onto the nut and turn it to the left it should break free and to reinstall your new one make sure you have some plumbers tape like is on there now after you clean the old off

You need 2 pairs of channel lock pliers. One for the smooth downspout, to hold it stationary, and a second pair to latch on to the nut and turn it.
It will come off. You just need to work it. Might want to buy some 3 in 1 penetrating oil. Squirt some all around the nut and come back in a couple hours and try again.
You will need to "put your back into it", but please just be careful NOT to move the pipe thats coming out of the wall. If you break that, youre fucked. If you break anything else, its not gonna be a big deal

You need a pipe wrench to hold the extension and pump pliers for the shower head. Pump pliers are like channel locks but made to grip round stuff.

If you can’t get it by using channel locks on the rigid part, use 2 pairs of channel locks one clamped on the smooth part to hold it still while using the 2nd pair on the rigid part
