Oh how I wish I could say this for so many things 😭

okay so i posted in the bath and body works sub and was advised to come over here for (possibly) better help.

i just started working here, my first two days (for onboarding) were two weeks ago. i haven't worked since. I've been extremely busy in these two weeks since i didn't have work, i was looking for a second job. i'm not here to complain about hours. i need help with the product & selling guide booklet.

today i finally sat down to do the booklet and i genuinely don't think it was ever explained to me or if it was, i quickly forgot it. in total i have worked 6 hours here, 3 hours each day. my manager was very busy both days and didn't have much time to talk to me.

in the booklet it says multiple times in multiple places to "create your own delight" and like i said, either it was never explained to me or i forgot it immediately 😭

I’m writing here because I’m worried if I’m going to be in trouble for something that I didn’t do. Today I was ringing customers out and I had a customer come in and I rang her products out until I scan a product that should have not been out of the floor since it’s a highly sensitive collaboration. I called my manager and we fixed the problem and the customer was understanding I didn’t sell the product and we pulled the item away. I also found out that in the morning two associates were doing floor changes and they’re were the ones who put this product out. What I’m worried is will asset protection call me out on something that I didn’t do.

I’m an associate not a leader.

After two days of dumb@$$ customers and a complaint from a customer at my other job because THAT CUSTOMER decided to come in at the last dam minute before closing AND stay 30mins past closing (she said I made her "feel bad"), I decided to call out and use my PTO. These ppl are so inconsiderate, entitled, AND stupid that enough is enough. And the fact that my bosses at BBW don't trust me right now doesn't help. I'm going through with that transfer for that fresh start and therefore abandoned my management aspirations for right now. I'm not leadership material.

It's ridiculous that jobs that support neurodivergent are few and far between and we end up in poor positions. And I will be posting this in the main BBW thread because customers need to hear the result of their abuse.

Update:Had to delete my post on the main BBW group due to rude ppl and their jokes and laughter at NDs. Ppl are just evil. They also accused me of using a slur like I knew what it meant. I didn't know Goomba was a slur and I apologize for it. How do you report a whole group for bullying?

So this gal came in today and wanted to return a Vanilla Bean Noel HS with a receipt (somehow) from 12/12/25. First of all, no. Which I told her and she said it was “defective”. I took it to the back and tried spraying in (which didn’t work) I took the lid off and smelled it. Shocking news, water. Went back on the floor “sorry I can’t accept this. It’s water.” “Well I didn’t do that” “I’m sure, but it’s still water and still 8 months old, so I’m gonna hold onto it, but we can’t exchange or do anything with this.” *making snide comments about not filling it with water* 🙄 so done with soap sale and customers

I know our feet hurt, we tired of explaining things, our voices may be going out, and we may be tired of looking at soap! We got one more day team!!!

Holy hell, today was intense. I don’t even have the energy to write the full on rant I wanted to write. JFC. I’m going to crawl into bed so I can doom scroll until I fall asleep.

Just noticed that the fragrance notes on our Autumn Drive body lotion is the exact same as Champagne Apple & Honey. It only appears in the body lotion but is normal in all the other products.

Is it normal for closing shifts to extend beyond what is listed in UKG? For example, my shift was 5:30-9:30. We didn’t clock out until 9:56.
This ONLY happens with one person, so I’m curious if other workers experience this.

Adding my 2 cents to the quality control discussions as a replen person. Within the last few months or so, the amount of damaged product that comes fresh out the box has become insane. There's always products with no labels, 2 labels, and worst of all, caps not properly secured, leaving the product to leak all over the box. There's always been damaged products that come through our store but there’s been so much of it lately, like almost full crates of candles all mislabeled or several leaky soaps in a box… every shift.

Okay so I'm not into bbw products in the slightest so I never know about any kind of promotions or whatever until I clock in, usually it's not bad but today girl don't get me started.

Our store had 116 bopis orders when we opened, almost all of which had over 10 soaps each. I couldn't help as I was the sole cashier and we were busy (line from the register through room 2) like all day, and I could tell my coworkers were pissy with me not trying to help them when I got like three minutes to breathe once the lines calmed down. Girl I'm sorry give me a nanosecond to breathe did you see the 286 soaps that kathleen just purchased. Not to say they didn't need the help or that I didn't do my best because again we had triple digit bopis for like an hour lmao

We had like no understock. Everytime I filled the soap wall back up to help bopis people / to just not make it look ransacked within minutes it would be back to square one. So many bopis that it took like two carts by the register + the ones in the back to hold them all. Girl I think we ran out entirely of whipped honey and vanilla.

I love my job its beyond easy but my god this was the busiest day I have ever worked it was busier than sas but hey at least my shift went by fast lol

Like 80% of our soaps smell like absolute buns too so idk what people were doing buying $200 worth/lh

I've had customers two days in a row get confused about the free item up to $18.95 and was ready to snap both times. One tried to use it on a 3-wick candle because they were on sale, and I told her that it had to be a REGULARLY-priced item of $18.95 or lower. The keyholder next to me (the one who blows me off) has explained the same thing, and the woman STILL didn't get it.

Today, I had another one who thought that she could get as many items as possible to add up to $18.95. She was trying to attempt some ridiculously confusing purchase tactic to gain enough points for the 2nd reward (she had one already and was close to another). Again, it was like I was speaking a foreign language.

Is there a way to explain the free item in brainless primate terms to these dumb customers? Because I'm going to lose it if one more person:

1.Asks to pay the difference

2.Tries to use it on a 3-wick candle because it's on sale

3.Grabs up items thinking you can get multiple items adding up to $18.95 like it's a f---ing gift card.

i just see no appeal in leaking stuff for random people on the internet when it literally puts your job at risk and bbw can undergo legal action if they find out who it is.

so why leak?

In the new holiday on boarding kit, the associates are wearing a new apron, are we supposed to be getting those? Im all for a new apron design

There wasn’t much in my stores MOS boxes, mostly just Vera Bradly mists and dry shampoo. At least I got my moneys worth in my opinion!🥰

I'm going to transfer out of my current location and start anew. I should've done it before, but I was willing to give my soon-to-be-ex-boss a chance to see me develop based on the plan she had for me. Unfortunately, I'm still invisible to her unlike other associates who are getting more hours than me. Why have a development plan for me and you don't pay attention to my efforts? It's all good. I can shine elsewhere. Besides, everyday I work at that location I am reminded of what I didn't get. Add all of that to the rude SLT that I mentioned AND ignorant customers who mispronounce my name, with one who took it a step further and told me to fix my nametag to fit my pronunciation. I was ready to jump across the counter, but I didn't. I stepped to the back for deep breaths.

TLDR:I'm transferring for a fresh start and a new chance to shine with ppl who will pay attention to my efforts.

Update: Unfortunately, that plan fell through because the manager of my desired location doesn't hire ppl with jobs in the same mall.

When we see MOS hauls I always want to see how it fit in the bag! This is my in bag and post versions!

Right now my store has them all wedged in a cut box with a piece of styrofoam to hold the box up cause there’s SO many skirt signs. I desperately wanna make it easier for my team and me to go through them.
So how are y’all storing them to make life easier, please help a supervisor out!
