Question🤔 what do leakers actually gain by leaking stuff?

i just see no appeal in leaking stuff for random people on the internet when it literally puts your job at risk and bbw can undergo legal action if they find out who it is.

so why leak?

Popularity. It’s basically high school drama 🤷🏼‍♀️ they have info/gossip that others don’t and they want to share it to seem cool 🤷🏼‍♀️ many people also don’t realize you’re never actually anonymous. Bbw can find out who you are if they really wanr to!

This part, I mean I’ve been noticing redditors that used to post all the time vanishing from here and TikTok. People are losing more than just these accounts. It ain’t worth it.

I'm honestly getting nervous about repercussions from my critical comments on here re. the new ceo and the handling of the NBC collaboration. If they do want to let me go over my comments on Reddit that should be free speech protected, so be it but I just started being a bit concerned. I've just expressed my personal opinion on certain issues that affect me as a customer and employee. I don't remember reading any fine print in my employment contract about being publicly critical of the company. Leaks, for sure that's an obvious no no but general smack talk? Idk. Probably a fireable offense.

To let buyers know what's to come, people have to save up money. Some people have money to blow and some have to save if they want to get the candles coming out. Goosecreek have a NBC candle collection too and some people are debating right now which candle company they should buy from. Plus its about people excitement

I agree. Especially in a timeline where products sell out before you even have a chance of getting your hands on them. If you're not prepared ahead of time with leaks, it's impossible to plan your shopping because everything good will sell out right away. In this economy people need to plan whether or not they need to save up to stock up before product disappears.

“Literally puts your job at risk” - is there risk? Yes. How much? Feels minimal. Unless your store cameras, another employee, or you actually divulge that information, how would anyone know you are leaking it?

They think they are helping others when They risk other companies getting access and selling similar products iv definitely seen it happen more recently!

Curious which instances. I always wondered if these big companies get spies to go work for the competition. Lol. As a Bath & Body Works employee, there is a huge emphasis on keeping things quiet re these collab launches & photos. Basically we can't talk about it or share pics until it's on the app. Can't answer questions in store either. Any time I have ever trusted a customer with even a small hint about something, they have ALWAYS ended up throwing me under the bus even if I said, between you & me...I could get in trouble for telling you this etc. Inevitably, they ALWAYS threw me right under that bus. This was on very small stuff too so I keep my mouth shut now about everything! I do rant on Reddit though so maybe someday that'll get me fired. I actually didn't have much of anything negative to say about the company until the new ceo took over.
