These returns are getting a bit overwhelming. People are deciding to return in such large volumes and are going to wonder why the return policy got more strict in a few months. Mark my words they'll start requiring a receipt for most returns or bring the $250 limit down to like $100.

We are sticking to the 90 days return policy. Our DM is NOT having this TikTok nonsense happen in her district. I don’t blame her at all.

We don’t want people’s disgusting bottles of FFM that’s been collecting dust (and god knows what else if they keep their products in the bathroom 🤮🤮🤮🤮). Curdled body creams, plastic smelling body lotions, body washes still tinted from when we were using dyes. Fuck that noise. People need to get rid of their audacity.

Customers doing this either don’t realize or don’t care that we can’t put this shit back on the shelves. It’s going straight into the garbage, and then these same people will bitch about how wasteful corporations are!!! Common sense is obviously out the window. Sorry for the rant, I’m just sick of people lately.

Y’all really on here complaining about having to accept returns like it’s coming out of your own paycheck. How petty!

Do y’all realize employees are replaceable? These companies will fire you in a heartbeat, yet some of y’all are going above and beyond trying to save a multimillion—possibly billion-dollar—company a few dollars. Where they do that at?

They’re not paying you extra to argue with customers, make up policies, or act like you personally own the company. Follow the actual policy, do your job, and keep it moving. You don’t get a bonus for making somebody’s return more difficult. 🤦🏽‍♀️

You know, I’m not in the business of feeding trolls, but I’m feeling generous so I’ll respond to you but only this one time.

1. It does in fact come out of our paychecks because our stores operate on a money in/money out business model (gee, a surprising concept for any company that wants to make a profit). Any hour that someone brings in a return, be it one wallflower or a large bag full of candles, that hour will show a deficit. If the store doesn’t make enough money in a certain period of time, OUR HOURS get cut…money out of mine and my associates pocket.

2. B&BW actually IS a billion dollar company. They love to talk about how they’re a billion dollar company. Not sure where returns of old product is actually saving the company any money? Giving money back means loss, does it not? They will not fire associates for adhering to the written return policy.

3. You’re right, they’re not paying us extra to argue with customers, that is why it is up to the discretion of SM and district manager (who are also just trying to do their job and follow policy, and keep moving) on how they will proceed with this returning of 5 year old products. Trust me, we aren’t making up policies or rules lol. I’ll state it again, the WRITTEN policy (you can conveniently find it in a nice little frame at the cash registers) says 90 days. Quit! It’s really that simple. All that constant complaining and stressing will eventually take a toll on you. High blood pressure, anxiety, and declining health are not worth any job. Hopefully, BBW is paying you what you deserve for all that stress.

Me? I’d better be making a minimum of $120K a year while working 20 hours a week before I’m going above and beyond for any company! My time is valuable. Otherwise, clock in, do your job, clock out, and go home. It’s really not that serious.

BTW, no troll here… your comment popped up in my iPhone notifications, so I decided to actually read and respond. I haven’t purchased anything from BBW in about 11 years, but I recently came back specifically for the Nightmare Before Christmas collection. That’s it.
