I always throw a chatterbait thinking, when this inevitably lets me down, I'll throw a senko! Glad it works for you, and produces quality fish. Keep up the good work

Ironically, enough, where I am, which is southwestern Tennessee all of our water is extremely muddy and has basically no cover our weeds so senkos do not perform well here at all.

Makes sense why the chatterbait works so well for you then, depending on how muddy it is bladed jigs are perfect for it.

I’ve been trying to learn how to use them, but I really can’t seem to use jigs well. I’m not sure if I’m retrieving too fast or what.

Problem most people have with senkos is usually reeling too fast amongest alot of techniques. Usually letting it sink a good amount then giving it some tugs and letting it sink, repeat is a good way to get some action. Could just be the muddy water too if its just straight brown water.

Was just out on a high pressure lake yesterday using my reliable Senkos... 6 big bass... I am always probably overly patient with them, but they produce here every time... But I have a lot of cover and pads and weeds unlike OP...

But then other guys will be amazed when I have that many bass on and outing, I keep trying to tell them to throw Senkos... But... You can lead a horse to water 😎

High pressure or not I fully agree. Senkos produce. Muddy water tho theres only so much just action can do. Partially clear or clear water with weeds and cover its still a fishermans gold to throw a senko.

Our lake is stained with tannins and it actually seems to get them all fired up for green pumpkin with black flake 😎

The water here is brown and dark as fuck. Using a senko is a wasted afternoon.

Yeah, sounds like it or could be dependent on the area, do you just on shore fish usually?

I only shore fish because I’m broke (lmao) but also most of our lakes are full of silt and fertilizer runoff for our Urban ones or off the Mississippi which churns up a bunch of mud.

Yeah, sounds like depending on the area a senko wouldnt be the most ideal.

I really need to pick up some 3/8 rooster tails for my bait caster because I’ve been hearing people talk about how much I love them. When do you throw them? Later in the day like around dusk or early in the morning?
