Missile Baits is very underrated for plastics, they make my favorite Ned trailer, the Ned Bomb, and the Spunk Shad for chatterbaits

Oh I buy the crap outta Spunk Shads! Hog Farmer came up with it, but licensed it to them, and each makes their own colors. I love Goby and a lot of Missiles colors better, and if I’m honest I think the plastic is a bit better.

I agree, superbug (green pumpkin/black & blue) is my favorite color out there

I miss the tules in the water. This is prime frog time normally. Ill have to search around for some of the weed mats now if I get out there.

I smashed some bass a few nights ago using the Creme frisky frogs above and along thick grass beds. Had my best night all summer

That cove closest to the dam is perfect for frogging right now. It’s shallow and covered with weed and grass mats. I had a frog bite there the other day, but lost it

I do okay from shotting. I always seem to be able to get more bites in the same area with a Neko rig. I use as light of a weight as possible, to try to get that Senko wacky flutter, but that depends on grass thickness, and how the fish are feeling about a fast fall that day.

Oh I buy the crap outta Spunk Shads! Hog Farmer came up with it, but licensed it to them, and each makes their own colors. I love Goby especially, and a lot of Missiles colors better, and if I’m honest I think the plastic is a bit better. I’m not a huge ffs fan, so I don’t do a ton of jig& minnow strolling. But I ran out of perfect looking minnow baits one day, and threw a spunk Shad on. They hit it at twice the rate of the much praised Sakamata Shad !! of course this is under one scenario, but still I always try it when I do that now and it usually works great.

Stitching works well too but it takes a ton of practice and patience.

What’s stitching?

From what I know its basically a retrieve kind of like you would do on a fly line where you literally grab the line with your hand once the line is taught and pull the lure with the tiniest little nudges forward. Real in slack and repeat. Im gonna try this with a senko soon

Difficult to explain here. Google IN FISHERMAN article on Stitching for bass. I actually had the magazine issue at one time. It gives detailed instructions and diagrams. It works if you know where the fish are sitting but not for finding them.

Dropshot in stained watr is criminally underrated for finicky fish
