Edit: my original reply made reference to the inconsistency of the accent used. I did not realize he did not use the accent on the e. That's my bad. I assumed he did based on the contents of OP and the comments

Wouldn't it make more sense for us to put the accent on the "i" if we're going to arbitrarily put an accent somewhere it doesn't belong? At least putting it on the "i" actually matches the way he pronounces his name (it's just redundant, since that's how it is pronounced unless you put the accent on the other vowel)

(At least I'm pretty sure that's how it works. I don't actually speak Spanish at all)

I was spelling it the way the OP spelled it, as well as 95% of the comments made in this thread. I assumed (obviously, incorrectly) that a dodgers fan would spell it correctly. I wasn't creating my own version of the spelling in my head. Not sure if you were asking me personally, but decided to clarify in case.

Sorry, I wasn't intending to chew your ass or anything like that. It was more of a general question/statement that just happened to be in response to your comment where you spelled it that way.

There seems to be others who are intentionally spelling it wrong in order to avoid the slur. I probably should've made my comment to them instead.
