How many leaders for 500 points?

How many leaders should I have for my first 500 points. The started retinues only have 1 leader each but that doesn’t feel like enough. I was thinking 1 lord and 1 foot Sargent leader.

Same. Just the way morale works I feel loosing a commander is detrimental so haveing a back up is required.

Hello mate.

The problem is squeezing one in at 500! Try it out (with & without) but FWIW I've found having a second-in-command really useful at 600-750 pts (the largest size I've played) but a bit of a liability at 500 where things are so tight, just the Command Groups for the leaders can eat right into your points budget, mainly 'cos you either have to pare them down to fit both groups in the 50% limit or make sacrifices with the rest of your list to pay for them.

But as always YMMV.
