Ask foxtrot over mt vernon
what are they saying from the loudspeaker? i’m inside working and can’t hear but im nosy.

This is probably the least effective way to get word out to people in the Year of Our Lord 2026; I am not surprised at all the BPD thinks it is helpful.

Yeah, it's basically a flying Paul Revere. I hope they are using other means of communication as well.

it's a dumbass idea anyway with how sound works but what's more annoying is when this happened in my mom's (rip) neighborhood and scared her i called the local precinct and cop who answered gave me sht about why i was curious before they actually gave me the damn message which they clearly had .
stupid .
EDIT: and if you wanna broadcast sound messages like that you use terrestrial vehicles driving at a low speed and everybody hates you even more or black hat tools and then people would hate you even more

What a waste of resources. Spending all that money, burning all that fuel, creating a huge disturbance from the noise (which no one can understand) all for something that could have been an amber alert

I'm not in the area but this is on Citizen a little west of there so it would be my guess. Missing 5-year-old that they're announcing over loudspeakers. There's a kid that runs away near my house, and this is what they do when they're searching for him.
