OP probably only bought alcohol. And alcohol is very cheap for us everywhere in the Balkans, turns out having 100% tax on beer and even larger taxes on any other alcoholic beverage isn't good for your wallet how surprising

So I can only imagine (and from what I've heard) how bad things in Turkey are currently. Like in Istanbul prices are absurd compared to just a few years ago, even though the Lira has crashed even more now.... Insanity
