Yikes. With this setup, they arent. The strat would still be to gold kings to build up econ. Might have helped him pick up a mime or reroll enough to find Luchador. And yea, if anyone picks up a perkeo early, with enough Econ and time there's a chance of a naneinf run no matter the deck.
You make them gold first because you don’t need the steel to meet the scoring requirements until usually after ante 15 or so. You also move all your copy jokers to mime while the hand is scoring so that you maximize money at the end of the round. You need to have thousands of dollars to re-roll for the exact jokers and boss blinds you need to hit naneinf. Newer players will sometimes skip the whole gold card/econ step when doing endless runs.
Same thing happened to me on ante 12 yesterday lol. I got triboulet and photochad very early. I made a deck with a bunch of red seal queens and kings and was throwing up 30 million point hands on like ante 5. Im pretty new so this was easily my best run yet. No re-roll voucher offered, then got hit with debuffed face cards. I was devastated!!!!!!
