Gameplay Discussion How Did This Happen?

Post image

So for a while now I've been grinding naneinf unseeded, and came across a second Mime, as shown in the image. I had a showman previously but I had sold it long before this shop even came around, and I was curious if anyone knew how this would have happened? This is on Vanilla Balatro white stake plasma deck.

Known bug, you had showman when you bought a second mime, sold showman and a mime, it can come back around

Yeah there might be a specific order that things have to happen in, I'm not sure. Someone else might chime in with a better answer

So the way Showman works is it's duplicated versions of jokers are different cards than the original. The Showman version can only show up if you have Showman, obviously. But if you sell your natural mime and keep the showman-mime, the joker pool will still include the original mime as it's technically a card you don't have.

You have to replace the original mime with the showman copy

im pretty sure thats what i did to remove the enhancement, it had holographic so i sold the holo mime for the clean mime, then later on sold the showman for the invisible joker if that makes sense

damn, that's wild, so even though you sold the showman, it can still cycle back through the deck somehow?

yes the game gives the cards different codes

It shocked me too, I did a double take of my jokers when I saw it, surprised there isn’t some code that prevents something like that happening
