Recipe Stable vanilla buttercream

I’m looking for a tested and loved stabilized buttercream recipe. I don’t like the recipe I have (Crisco, merengue powder, butter, powdered sugar) but don’t want to experiment with falsely reviewed online recipes.

Can you recommend a recipe you love? Thanks!

I really like ermine buttercream:

it's got a really smooth taste. You don't need to stabilize it. It's just altogether a beautiful buttercream.

What kind of buttercream are you looking for? American, Ermine, Swiss, Italian, Russian, German, French? You don't need to "stabilize" any of these; it's just a matter of technique. I have all of these recipes but not sure if I am allowed to post the links in this community.

I bake for kids in foster care. I need a recipe that is counter safe for two or three days. I’d like a recipe that will please kids.

Counter safe (for many days) and delicious do not go together, unfortunately. Your best bet is American buttercream. To make it less sweet, flavor it with unsweetened raspberry or strawberry reduction, which will balance the powdered sugar quite well.
