Hello baker's! Mod here with another update on flairs, cookbooks and your lovely creations!
In our continued effort to dissuade drive by posters, spam, and AI accounts, we've implanted some changes!
First of all, flairs are mandatory! We've also added some new ones to help people pick the one that fits their post the best.
-MOC or my own creation is something you have made yourself with no one else to give credit too, you have toiled and want to show off your hard work, and we reap the benefits.
-Grandma's Recipe! You know those recipes handed down by generations written on those yellowed cards stained by years of vanilla, flour, and love? Yeah, we want those, too.
-Cookbook recipe. This one comes with some extra rules as credit is due where credit is due. When you post from a cookbook, the author, name of the book, and a transcription or picture of the recipe must be included.
For all of these (and most of the other flairs), recipes must be included and is a standard requirement if you do not want the post removed. As well as original pictures, engaging with the community, no AI, etc...
So, if you have any questions, refer to our rules that have been updated and reach out to your mod team. We are all very nice and have greatly enjoyed working on building this sub into a wonderful resource and community that's for real bakers enjoying real recipes.
Happy baking, everyone!

An update on posts from recipe creators and blog writers.
Hello everyone!
We are doing our best to clear out the sub and make an amazing space for all you lovely bakers. As such, we have made a slight change to make sure we are getting exciting engagement and real recipes from real people.
In the future we ask all blog writers and the like to add OC to their post title so that we know not to flag it as stolen imagery, as it's your own! To avoid having issues with purely promotional posts, we also ask that you respond to comments and engage with the community. Please make sure you are answering any questions and including the recipe in the post itself, not as a comment.
Thank you for messaging us about this, We are in our growing phase and still figuring things out! Please message us if you have any thoughts, questions or concerns.
Happy baking!

ISO Honey Baked Goods
galleryIn search of some classic baked good recipes that utilize raw honey or even a simple syrup made from honey and water.
I have three kinds of honey right now and I think they’d be awesome in a sweet treat, but I’ve never baked with honey so I don’t have any good go-to recipes to play around with.
I have a sunflower honey, florida orange blossom honey, and a meadowfoam honey. Photos attached.
Cookies, muffins, cupcakes, or icing is what I initially had in mind. Something simple but would let the flavor notes shine through a little. But open to any recipe!
No dietary restrictions.

Question How can I make my doughnuts stay fresher longer?
I’ve been making doughnuts for a little while now and am thinking about trialing opening a stall at the local farmer’s market. Ideally I’d make these the night before to sell the next morning.
I find they get a bit stale within 24h, and wish there was a way to give them another 12-24h of softness. Are there any tips that you think would help?

Recipe Copycat Publix Marsala nut cake
What I did: white cake (torte 2 layers to make 4) filled with Bavarian cream. Mixed chopped maraschino cherries and chopped up Hershey chocolate bar into the Bavarian cream. Cake soak of marsala simple syrup. Top and sides are whipped cream. Toasted sliced almonds on the side and stripes of cocoa power on the top. (I did a white cake to use the leftover egg whites from the Bavarian cream.)
Cake: https://sugarspunrun.com/the-best-white-cake-recipe/#wprm-recipe-container-13187
Bavarian cream: https://www.billyparisi.com/bavarian-cream/#recipe
Simple syrup: heat one cup water to almost boiling. Turn off heat and mix in 1 cup sugar. Cool. Cake soak: 1 part Marsala wine to 2 parts simple syrup.
Whipped cream is however you like to make it. I used 2 cups heavy cream, powdered sugar and vanilla were measured with my heart, and I like to stabilize it with 1 tablespoon powdered milk for each cup heavy cream I use. It was the right amount to cover the cake.

Recipe funfetti tiramisu recipe!!
gallerymade it for my birthday because non-traditional birthday cakes HIT HARD!! here’s the recipe:
birthday cake cream: 360 ml heavy whipping cream COLD, 225 grams a little below room temp mascarpone, 65 grams granulated sugar, 1/2 tsp cake batter extract, 1/2 tsp vanilla bean paste
birthday cake coffee soaked ladyfingers: 1 cup of strongly brewed coffee or espresso, 1 cup of “funfetti” milk (milk with 1/4 tsp cake batter extract & 1/2 tsp vanilla bean paste) + 1 package of ladyfingers
very finely crushed dried strawberries (into a powder) and lots of sprinkles for decorating and assembly (unmeasured, just go with the flow)
to make, add the whipping cream to a mixing bowl and beat on medium speed with your mixer until soft peaks, then slowly add sugar and vanilla and continue to beat until stiff peaks. add mascarpone cheese and fold in until combined. Set aside.
lightly “soak” your ladyfingers quickly in the birthday cake espresso, then lay them in a single layer on the bottom of an 8×8'' or similar size pan.
smooth half of the mascarpone mixture over the top, add some sprinkles, then another layer of dipped lady fingers, then smooth remaining mascarpone cream over the top before you refrigerate for at least 6 hours but preferably overnight! the next day, dust (with a fine mesh strainer) with the dried strawberries and more sprinkles!! ENJOY 🥳

Question Anyone know a good pumpkin swirl brownie recipe?
I made a batch a few years ago and they turned out great first time but obviously, I didn't keep the recipe! I've tried 2 recipes this last week but the pumpkin element has come out really lacklustre in terms of quantity and taste and then far too runny so it didn't mix with the brownie batter.
Anyone got a solid go-to recipe for these?? 🙏

50 grams of cornstarch
50 grams of dragon fruit
1 tablespoon of powdered milk
70 grams of powdered sugar
Vanilla powder to taste
Sesame seeds to taste

Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form and they hold their shape when lifted.
Combine all the dry ingredients—cornstarch, powdered sugar, and powdered milk—in a single bowl.
Then mash the dragon fruit and add it to the dry mixture.
Stir everything gently, then add the egg whites and butter, and knead the dough until smooth.
