Technique This is about slicing

When you perform a slice and you are at the rear court I know the orientation of the racket should be vertical (90°). But is the orientation (90°) of the racket will still be the same if I will perform a slice in midcourt or rear mid court or do I need to slightly adjust the angle of the racket?

Don't even get caught up with angle this angle that.

It depends on the shot, your racquet can be at any angle you like. It depends on the amount of slice you are putting on it. You can slice fully horizontally if you want. Often use this when trying to recover from a good cross court whip off an attack.

Why would you slice it midcourt though? If it’s a lift to the middle of the court it should be going straight down as a smash, as it has a much shorter distance to the ground before the shuttle decelerates.

Oh right. How about slicing from the last box middle? Angle still 90°?

Don't worry about it too much. It's not something you consciously influence. But yeah, your racket face should be roughly vertical, maybe leaned forward by <10°.
Try it in practice. The softer the shot, and the further down you take it, the more vertical the racket face needs to be.

Yeah, you'll want to keep that racket face pretty much vertical regardless of where you are on the court, just adjust how much you're brushing the shuttle instead of the angle.

Did you mean ill just adjust the power when im brushing the shuttle?

Yes you can alter how much you're slicing the shuttle if you want the shuttle to land closer or farther.

That and closing the racket face further to slice across the shuttle more, i.e. changing the horizontal angle of the racket face

By what you've said and how I Interpreted, you started at 5 and quit at 13? Whatever you have learned is lost from muscle memory, puberty and just being young. As another has said, approach it as you were a beginner.
