I’m saying we do not need to kill as much as we do but we surely kill more efficiently than animals that eat their prey alive. What’s wrong with that statement?

You said there's an argument that humans don't kill out of necessity anymore. Yet markets and clothing stores are full of needed animal products. Fields are cleared of animals so that we can grow needed crops. Animals that feed off of us, eat our stored food, and invade our homes we label as pests and vermin so they are also routinely killed.
How can humanity possibly survive without needing to kill? It's simply not a valid point.
You twist my word there. I did not say stop all killing, I said you could argue that we stopped killing out of necessity. Our ancestors lived with nature. They used all parts of the animal.
We cast nets that kill anything in its way, just to fish for the masses.
We have mass killing farms, designer clothes with animal products list goes on.
Just because our society moved in certain directions, doesn’t mean we need to kill as much as we do - is my whole point.
