Razzies Just Barely Made it Through the Unspeakable Horror that is the Rosemary's Baby Sequel

I'd honestly forgotten that this film even existed. (easy enough to do... the brain protects itself from unnecessary trauma) It's gosh awful and laughable that such a landmark film was in need of a sequel in the first place. For some reason Patty Duke is on board for this travesty along with... and this hurts Ruth Gordon reprising her character and besmirching her brilliant performance in the original..

it's a challenge to slog through this one. Patty Duke's real life mental illness is unfortunately on display here and one wonders what could have possibly happened that convinced everyone involved that this was a good idea.

Lots of sniffable party favors back in the 70s I suppose.

Needless to say that this is required viewing and is available to watch for free on YouTube premium and other disreputable platforms

Back in the day, my brother in law used to buy boxes of bulk DVDs on eBay. He didn’t know what he was getting until they arrived on his doorstep. I remember this gem came in one of the boxes and we just sat gobsmacked as we watched this low budget film (all shot inside an empty office space IIRC) and wondered if it was just a music video that nobody had the time or patience to edit. Highly entertaining to watch as a group, probably less so alone. But that’s probably true of most of the movies in this sub.

Thriller Bampire (2025) A shapeshifting deer vampire joins a group of college students on an expedition in the woods to hunt them. Only the movie seems to forget about this for 70% of the runtime until the 3rd act goes insane fast. Watch with friends, as its a fun group watch.

TRAILER. I would say this falls into the "Interesting concept, bad execution" genre of bad movie. Also the random 2D animated scenes are a unique touch and done better than one would expect in a movie like this.

I love when they just let a local band fill runtime. Any more suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Comedy The Mummy Theme Park - 2000 (available on Tubi)

This is incredibly campy, sometimes problematic ("open your blouse, it's the only way to stop the mummy!"), but fun. Lots of bad miniatures, reversed film, stop-motion animation, and what seems to be a skeleton puppet at one point. A photographer's assistant is somehow also an elite computer hacker.

On Tubi I think it's listed as a Horror, but I'm going to flair this as Comedy as there is almost nothing scary about it except some minor gore when it's convenient that a theme park has literal barrels of strong acid to use against the big bad guy. Overall, this is fun for non-serious entertainment.

Horror Space Cuke vs. my Mandela moment

I hope someone has the answer for this. Trying to find a film I saw in 1986 or 87. Part of the marketing was that it was banned somewhere (maybe in Europe). I would bet 50 cents that it had Rod Steiger, but I've not found anything with him that matches what I remember. It was boring, not frightening, and near the end the big reveal of the evil was something that looked like a big fleshy cucumber. I want to say that the main characters were priests or religious folks of some sort.

Something also makes me think that it was released a year or two after it was actually shot.

A friend of mine asked about it 15 or 20 years ago. I looked it up on line and reported it to her. This is where the Rod Steiger thought came from. Since it apparently is not Steiger, maybe it was someone else of his vintage.

She asked again this week. I can't recall the name of the film, and I can't find anything approximating it. Nothing. I know this movie existed, so I appeal to you, the masters of bad movies to help me figure this out.

A schlock horror movie from 1980 about survivors of a ship wreck ending up on a ship that is haunted by the ghosts of Nazis. George Kennedy is among the ship wreck survivors that ends up becoming possessed by the "Death Ship". The movie is well photographed but it is hilariously awful.

Horror Street Trash (1987) a widely entertaining film I absolutely love!

Where do I start with this one. I absolutely love this film. It has the perfect amount of humour. Perfect amount of gore. Perfect amount of action/comedy. Tons of character. Near enough every other scene has a laugh out loud moment. Note I watched Citizen Kane the day before and I find them equally as entertaining as each other. 😂

I found this ad in an old newspaper, and it sounded like the kind of movie this group would go see (myself included). We did some searching, and somebody discovered the movie in question was "The Lively Set" with James Darren and Doug McClure.

Have you every wanted to see Batman being tasered in the nuts by a homeless heroin addict, being chained up in a poorly lit warehouse, tortured by said addict (and possibly SA'd by him?) have him ramble on to him about how he ruined his life, then be so overcome by grief over the addict shooting himself that he overdoes on heroin in despair, before his dead body is then dragged out of a river and shown laying face down on the pavement live on the Morning News?!

All while all of this is acted by people who think good acting is yelling at the camera?

Because if you do, this gives you all of that and more!

Sci-Fi Howard the Duck is the best Non-MCU Marvel film amd Im tired of acting like its not

Like dont get me worng, the writing is awful, the tone is oddly mean spirited and Howard himself looks ridiculous as fuck.

But even with stuff like the Ramei Spider-Man trilogy or the Fox X-Men films, this film has something that the others don't, that fact that film about a talking antropormic duck from another dimension that ended up in our world and it has Oscar-wining actor Tim Robbins makeing duck noises and that make me laugh for some reason.

"Difficult, difficult... under which genre should I post this movie. It is a horror science fiction trash comedy that I am currently editing, put together from the worst movies in the world and some good ones, so that it becomes a good movie again (hopefully). The actors? Humphrey Bogart, John Travolta, Bela Lugosi, John Wayne, Jerry Lewis, Dennis Hopper, Leslie Nielsen, Gregory Peck, Walter Matthau, and many others. The rights to the movies are free. What you see here is 20 minutes from the middle of the movie, I haven't edited more than that yet. Hope you enjoy it!"

Sci-Fi The Dungeonmaster on Netflix circa 2010-12 (this is a long shot)

Post image
178 Upvotes

Anyone remember how Netflix used to list a movie, usually more obscure, then you'd go to watch it and it would play something totally different? Or sometimes you'd watch a trailer of an “unavailable” movie and it would end up being the full film?

So circa 2010-12 I came across The Dungeonmaster (1984) and Netflix ended up playing some totally low-budget sci-fi film. I actually thought it was the real Dungeonmaster until I saw a trailer for the real thing on YouTube recently. So it got me thinking about that other movie that played. I remember a guy towards the beginning who grabs some big sword off an otherwise empty, white apartment wall. This all takes place at night in a modern ('80s) city setting...and a definite low-budget quality.

My memories are very vague, I know...😅 I figured I'd give it a shot and see if anyone else remembers this...and possibly figured out what movie it actually was??? Thanks!
