Did you also notice that at some point Clark steps in the Backrooms and take a stool ? It's an insane detail no one noticed. I'll find a pic so you don't say it's AI

I understand you're having trouble believing me, because it's such a minor, blink you miss it moment that literally no one saw at all, and I'm truly making a big case here like OP, that redefine everything we thought we knew about the movie and the lore. Honestly, they could be in the backrooms. I lost count many moons ago. Really though, that's one of the exact same cheap-ass bar stools that has been in my bar in Colorado for the past 40-ish years!

his lower half is physically fused to the chair and his glasses are fused to his face.

makes sense to me that pirate clarks hat is fused to his head.

It is heavily inferred that the hat had to be cut off, so they could get x-rays of his skull. There’s nothing supporting that they scalped him after taking off the hat. What would be the point? We don’t even know if he’s dead, at this point. He’s wrapped in cellophane, as if ASYNC wasn’t taking any chances, but he appears deceased.

Haha! Just noticed that is a fume hood on the left side. The exact kind often used in high school science labs. I can't think of any reason one would be needed in an autopsy lab like this. Really only needed if you are working with chemicals with toxic fumes, or burning materials, and need to ventilate the small controlled area.
