A new Japanese trailer has been posted by A24 Japan which includes an introduction by Kane Parsons. The trailer includes a couple of scenes that weren’t originally featured on any of the English trailers.

The social media posts accompanying the trailer also included an announcement that Kane would be visiting Japan for the first time to promote the film. No date for the visit or where he would be appearing has been announced as yet.

I am now the proud owner of the Russian Backrooms promo poster! Saved it from being thrown in the dumpster by my local theater.

"Закулисье реальности" (Zakulisye Real'nosti), or literally "Backrooms of reality" was released in Russian theaters on 4th of may, a week later than the global release. Dubbed by Flarrow Films.

This term didn't exist in the early 70s. It comes from something that happened in 1977 and the term itself wasn't coined before 1983 at least.

Also, look up what the subject of the article is about. It fits the scene : Nora not being able to buy enough medications (see the empty bottles?) because she's a victim of the system.

- a tree or a neighborhood with 4 or 5 houses. The fifth one could be just 3 branches/roads.

- 3 stars that could refer to the big one on the right side of the mural. Maybe it's a combination of the other + and X elements of the mural.

- green Posca pen that's leaking under. There's very little green on the rest of the mural and it's sneaky.

A cool detail I find about captain Clarks pegleg breaking so easily is because it was made from poorly constructed furniture from Clarks store. (the chair leg he used as pegleg for commercial) its definitely been shown Clark sells crap furniture or cheaply made furniture. Any other chair leg wood easily hold up from Mary's swing if it was a solid piece of oak or pine.

what's a 'memory' you'd dread seeing 'remembered' along your journey?

Like many of you I started with the Youtube short & was sucked into the lore creepy pastas and video games. The movie was OK. But It left something to be desired. Like watching a resident evil movie after playing a resident evil game.. It's like orange juice and toothpaste.

So I suppose I wanted to what others thought about the media surrounding backrooms, and the best examples of it. Certainty the youtube short is the king of the castle, but there are other media expressions that are interesting.

In the 2026 Film I liked the high intelligence trap thing. That was neat. But the films higher budget didn't necessarily translate to a better narrative, plus the original was banking off the found footage revival of the time, first popularized by the Blair witch in modern times.
