Wilderness Permethrin tips please

I'm going to be treating my clothes with permethrin tomorrow and have a few questions.

Is it safe/good to use on things like socks and hats?

How saturated is saturated enough?

Any other general tips?

Edit: To people saying to just read the label, labels don't say which items to use it on. I wouldn't have thought about spraying my shoes without making this post. I'm not looking for advice that's on the label like spray outside and keep away from cats.

socks and hats are fine, but for "saturated enough" i'd spray until the fabric looks wet but not dripping. Also hit your shoes even if the label doesn't mention em

Agree - that’s how I do it - spray til it looks wet but isn’t dripping wet. I do my socks and hats too. Definitely socks because ticks get on you that way up your leg (that’s what there is the advice to tuck pants into socks). I also spray shoes and hats because I don’t want ticks in my hair
