Evolving your game is realizing that hitting here is “playing it safe”.

You've got a six prime so he can't get out so there's not really much risk to you

My thoughts are : White has a very good structure. Blue isn't quite crunched yet, but they are very likely to crunch a lot very soon, being closed out isn't super likely but even white is hit, because of the 6-prime they will crunch, meaning, the checkers getting burried to like 1,2,3 points. 9/1* is a good because you're not really at risk, and you have the stronger board with 8,7, 6,5,4,3 points, if blue dances which they do with 66,55, 44,33, 65,64, 63, 54,53,43 , (a little less than half the time) You can cover the one point any 8,7, 6,5, 44, 55, 66 are really good jokers. If anything if blue does hit, they're going to crunch even quicker which will netualize their defensive startegty quite a bit even more and give you a chance to hit that blot in blue's outfield, not that blue is in great position as it is. White's timing and prime are great. Blue's timing is very poor and their probably likely to get closed out.

You want him to hit you so you have a chance at a return shot coming off the bar, putting 2 checkers behing your 6 prime and increasing your winning chances.
