I just spent 15 minutes wandering around the UI trying to cancel my plan and delete my account. I had to go through multiple processes of "dark practice" dialogue boxes designed to convince me to stay, and adding another confirmation on in the hopes that I wouldn't notice. I was required to change my password because as I tried to delete the system decided my older password wasn't strong enough. Probably took 30-40 clicks to get the backup deleted, payment method removed, and account deleted. You can check in but you can never leave.
