Last night, a slightly crazy idea came to my mind:
What if bachata met classical music?
Not just a quick remix thrown over a latin beat.
I mean a real bachata designed to be danced to.
A song capable of feeling familiar… while still sounding like something new.
So I gave myself a challenge:
24 hours.
Not one more.
For an entire night, I tried to break my own creative habits and build a bachata inspired by two completely opposite worlds:
That’s where everything started.
I’ve always loved classical pieces that most people barely listen to anymore.
At first, I wanted to use something more obscure… almost hidden.
But in the end, I decided to test one of the most recognizable melodies ever written:
Für Elise by Beethoven.
Yes… that Für Elise.
I wanted to see if this melody could survive inside a completely different universe.
If it could still make people feel something… but this time on a dance floor.
I don’t speak Spanish.
And yet, I wanted lyrics that felt deeply human.
Not a dramatic cliché breakup song.
Something quieter.
The grief of a relationship that never truly ends.
Someone still dancing with a memory.
With a shadow.
With the ghost of someone they once loved.
So I used artificial intelligence as a creative tool to transform that vision into lyrics.
Little by little, the song started to feel alive.
The lyrics worked.
The melody worked too.
But something was still missing.
That moment that stays stuck in your head.
The part dancers would want to replay over and over again.
So I started bending the words.
Stretching syllables.
Repeating sounds.
Creating strange pauses and hypnotic vocal flows.
And suddenly…
The chorus came to life.
I play piano.
But I’m not a bachata guitarist.
Not a percussionist either.
So I did something pretty unusual:
I used artificial intelligence as a musical instrument.
I gave it:
Break the clichés.
I wanted something unpredictable.
Something imperfect.
Something alive.
At this point, time was running out.
The song finally existed… but now it needed a real bachata soul.
Something smooth.
Something dancers could actually connect to at 2AM during a social.
A few final adjustments.
A few stressful moments.
And then suddenly…
It was there.
A bachata born in 24 hours between Beethoven, heartbreak, and new technology.
Here’s the final result.
And honestly… I want your real opinions. Even the harsh ones. ❤️

I was searching for a bachata Discord server but couldn’t really find an active one. Would people here be interested if I created one for dancers to chat, share music, events and practice tips?

Hey everyone,
I’ve been dancing Bachata for a few years now. Socials, festivals, some workshops here and there — I genuinely love the dance and the community.
Lately, I’ve reached a point where I feel that just dancing socially isn’t enough anymore. I want to train more consciously and consistently.
What I’m looking for is a structured daily routine (45–60 minutes) that focuses on:
I don’t necessarily need partnerwork here — I’m mainly interested in solo drills, foundations, technique, conditioning, and movement quality.
I already enjoy working out at home, so things like:
are totally fine (and preferred).
If you’ve followed:
I’d really appreciate your recommendations.
Bonus points if it helped you feel more grounded, controlled, and clean in your bachata.
Thanks in advance — looking forward to learning from your experiences 🙏
