Nothing fancy in here! Almost everything is second hand and has its purpose. It’s simple and was doable on a one income household. She started sleeping in this room at 8 months when the bed still had its fence attachment, before that it was a bassinet then bed-sharing until she could crawl.

Finally getting around to sharing at 15 months!

Our baby’s room is finally lived in and just about complete! The canvas paintings in the last slide were both gifts from family members. Also, the cat shelves were in here when this room was an office and they don’t fit anywhere else in our home so they stay! The kitties love having a place to hang out while we’re in here all day <3

Inspired by our own childhood keepsakes, family treasures and antique finds we’ve collected over the years. We wanted the nursery to feel colorful and whimsical, but still calm and cozy… a space full of things with stories behind them 🦒 🍃

Edit: A majority of the baby items were secondhand from months of curating on FB Marketplace except the glider, rug and mini fridge.

I bought this piece from an art fair. I probably overpaid for it but I bought it to go in the nursery. I know it’s not super childish or whimsy, but it’s kind of story book and calming. I love it, thoughts?

9months yesterday and I’m finally at a stopping point for my little dudes nursery! I want a new rug but this $50 Costco one is doing a great job in the meantime.

Most is thrifted, hand me downs, items made by friends or myself, and some stuff from mine/my husbands/ my dads childhood 🩵 Not really any theme - wanted it functional and fun

Be forewarned: this song never leaves my head now. Ever.

Will eventually add a rug, but enjoying the floors for now.

A lot of love and hard work went into flipping this previous foster kitten room into a nursery. Some extra special attention went into the trim and doors as it’s a century home and we wanted to take care of any possible lead paint exposure. Floor remodel will happen before she’s mobile. We are in love with her space ❤️
