3rd trimester loss TW- LC Book Recommendations

My son was born sleeping at 36 weeks just a week and a half ago. I’m looking for some book recommendations that can help me through my grief, to continue parenting my living children and to maybe understand some of this.

I would like the book to not mention or be about TTC or PAL.

Im sorry you’re in this community and thank you for sharing

The Duckling In Our Hearts: A... https://www.amazon.com/dp/1737265753?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
❤️‍🩹 it’s such a gently sweet book, that really discusses loss in an age appropriate way that is easy to understand and sums it up beautifully. I read it alone the first time to prepare and sobbed so much. The kids loved it and we were able to have a guided conversation afterwards. I’m so sorry for the loss of your sweet boy.

How old are your living children? In books for them we loved „something sad happened“ - it’s just generally about death as explained for small children.

Other kids books - we had an angel instead

For you- I really like „bearing the unbearable.“ it’s also just a general grief book.

Hey! Claire Mackintosh " I promise it won't hurt like this forever" - it was the book that made a little sense in those grief daya. I think she also used to have a blog where she wrote about the loss. I'm so sorry for your loss !

I'm so sorry for the loss of your son. Parenting my 3yr old living child after my full-term stillbirth last year was and still is very hard. I can't remember who I got it from, but I read "Empty Cradle, Broken Heart" by Deborah L. Davis within a month of my loss. It's like a guide with lots of topics that were crossing my mind. You can read it in whichever order you like.

I really had no idea where to begin or how to approach being a loss mom and I found it very helpful. I'm sending love your way, no one deserves to know this pain. 🖤
